Michelle Obama blew the roof off, per usual. Here’s the part of her speech that made poor widdle Eric turn off the TV.
Kamala has shown her allegiance to this nation, not by spewing anger and bitterness, but by living a life of service and always pushing the doors of opportunity open for others.
She understands that most of us will never be afforded the grace of failing forward… we will never benefit from the affirmative action of generational wealth.
If we bankrupt a business… or choke in a crisis, we don’t get a second, third, or fourth chance.
If things don’t go our way, we don’t have the luxury of whining or cheating others to get further ahead… we don’t get to change the rules so we always win.
If we see a mountain in front of us, we don’t expect there to be an escalator waiting to take us to the top.
No, we put our heads down. We get to work. In America, we do something.
That’s what we need to do. We need to be the change we want to see. Now for a moment of comic relief, Twitter is trying to figure out how Melania can plagiarize this speech. It’s a rhetorical question, obviously. The odds of her giving a political speech anywhere between now and the election are astronomical. But you never know, Trump might sell enough bibles and sneakers to afford her speaking fee, which is running at about a quarter of a million dollars. At least that’s what the Log Cabin Republicans have paid her, twice that we know of, according to the Daily Beast. Nice work if you can get it.
The gross thing about Melania Trump is not that she did pornographic lesbian photo shoots, it's that she pretended to be a lesbian, made money pretending to be a lesbian, got photographed having lesbian sex, and then denies LGBTQ rights.
