Stone has carefully over-bloated his status as the Ultimate GOP Dirty trickster For Every President Since Reagan. Stone is nothing of the sort. In fact Stone is a boastful, arrogant charlatan. And don’t just take my word for it, ask any legitimate political dirty trickster.
I grew up in Chicago, where political dirty tricks are taught in second grade. And the first thing you learn is that you live in a shadow world. If you pull off a flawless operation in the CIA, you are given a medal in a private ceremony, then the director takes the medal back and puts it in a drawer. The heroics can’t be publicly acknowledged, since it would blow your cover.
Political dirty tricksters are the same. They live in a shadow world, plying their craft, avoiding the spotlight, knowing that the people who matter know what they’ve done, and that’s why they get more work. To this day, nobody knows who the evil genius was who thought up putting fliers under South Carolina windshields stating that John and Cindy McCain’s adopted Vietnamese daughter was actually his love child when he ran against Bush in the primaries. But the people who count do.
Stone is a spotlight seeking glory hound, which is the kiss of death for a dirty trickster. Who the hell wants to hire a guy to pull some dirty tricks on the quiet, knowing he’s going to run to the media and brag about how brilliant his strategy was? Worse yet, he has the nasty habit of taking credit for dirty tricks he had nothing to do with. His nickname should be Carp, since he’s a bottom feeder.
But it starts to appear more and more that Stone’s luck is running out. Several years ago, Stone was racked up on multiple federal criminal charges, including witness intimidation, and convicted. Stone loves to brag about the pardon he got from Trump. Bullshit! Stone is still a federal convict. All Trump did, days before Stone was scheduled to report to prison, was to commute his sentence. He didn’t pardon Stone, he just ordered that he didn’t have to serve his sentence.
And Stone apparently hasn’t learned a thing. The moron actually let a Danish documentary film crew follow him around both before, as well as after the election, right on through January 6th. And once again, Stone’s big mouth is going to land him in federal prison, with no prayer of another commutation of sentence. Because he just couldn’t resist playing the part of the Oracle of Delphi.
In one clip, weeks before the election, Stone actually prophesied a Trump loss, and Trump’s response. He’s going to fight everything. These are the certified California results? Fuck You! We don’t accept them, and we’re going to court over it. And we’re going to court in every contested swing state. And when we go to court, we’re going to court in front of judges that I elevated to the bench, because I’m the President!Â
Weeks before the election, Stone was accurately telling Trump’s legal challenges, and taking personal credit for it. Worse yet, in another clip, apparently shot in a vehicle as the filmmaker was taking Stone home, he exploded again. Fuck the voting! Let’s just get straight to the violence! Antifa has a target on their backs, Fuck the voting, and let’s just start the violence!
So, weeks before the election, you have Stone predicting a Trump loss, and his flawed post election strategy. And then, days before the election, you have Stone explicitly saying that the GOP should just skip the voting, and get straight to the bloodshed. Color me stupid, but somehow, this doesn’t sound like somebody on the outside of the internal Trump strategizing. And Stone has been confirmed as being in the Willard Hotel suite in the lead up to the insurrection.
Months before this Danish film crew’s work surfaced, Stone has bragged about his contacts in both the Oath Keepers, as well as the Proud Boys, and his funneling of information to the Trump campaign. Stone showed up for Trump’s January 6th speech, and surrounded by Oath Keepers as bodyguards, marched to the Capitol, although there is no evidence he actually entered the Capitol.
This has become prevalent because it has leaked that the January 6 committee is going to play unadulterated clips of the Danish documentary at their next hearing. Which once again puts blabbermouth in the center ring spotlight.
And of course, Stone being Stone, he is taking the spotlight as his own. He angrily stated that nothing that the J6 committee says about him has a single shred of legitimacy, and he snidely invited committee members to waive their congressional immunity so that he could sue them into the next century.
Once again, Roger Stone’s big mouth is going to land him in the soup. And this time around he has no godfather to give him a get out of jail free card. Let the games begin.
I tell folks here about Chicago, Mayor Daley, and the Machine. They just kind of look at me like I”m loony toons. It’s good to see I’m not. lmao

He was a real piece of work. A Chicago icon, but one of the most racist, corrupt, power hungry men you’d ever meet. The entire Cook County, Chicago machine existed for no other reason than to keep him in power. Daley never took a penny of graft, but he had horse blinders for anybody else who DID, as long as they didn’t get caught…Then they were on their own…Ahhh, roots…lol
I grew up on the other end of Illinois. Not southern Illinois as you guys think of it (anything south of Cook and DeKalb counties) but true southern Illinois south of I-64. The part Mike Royko called the asshole of the state. Being from the part of the state that did without so much because Daley and his machine were hogging damned near everything believe me one doesn’t have to be a Chicagoan to know how good those guys were at what they did.
Amen brother…And you remember what the “official” Democratic pasrty line was. ??? “They were stealing so much downstate that all we were doing was offsetting it…Don’t even get me started on how many ways Daley screwed the state and the legislature…But I must admit, at tghe risk of offending you, that Mike Royko was one of my lifelong heroes…

I love how these guys use the term ‘let’s’ all the time e.g. “Let’s get the violence started” – implying that they’re going to beout there in front of the ravening horde when in reality they’re such big old cream puffs that they would collapse in a sobbing heap if somebody so much as slapped their faces. There’s no ‘let’s’ about people like Stone and Trump (Bunker Boy). They’re cowards who always get the dull and the witless to do their dirty work for them.

Minor nitpick, Murf, but the girl in question was from Bangladesh (known as East Pakistan before 1971).

Well, I, for one, would love for a member (say, um, Liz Cheney?) to actually cooperate and waive her immunity. Stone seems to forget that in a lawsuit claiming slander (or libel, for that matter), it’s the plaintiff (in this case, Stone) who has to PROVE–BEYOND ANY DOUBT–that anything said about him in the committee did not have a “single shred of legitimacy.” The defense (in this case, the member of Congress–like Liz Cheney) would need only provide transcripts (or hell, recordings of the Committee’s hearings) to support their case.
I think Stone’s forgotten that the best defense against a slander/libel case is always the truth. And he’s also forgotten that professional liars should NEVER try to sue someone for slander/libel.
