‘Don’t Touch Me’ Marco Rubio Tells Alex Jones When Jones Tries To Steal Spotlight Over Social Media

A senator and a “commentator” mixing it up publicly might be considered a clash of titans but when the personalities involved are Marco Rubio and Alex Jones, it’s more like a joust of gerbils. Rubio was talking to reporters in a senate hallway about social media’s role in elections and the spreading of disinformation when he was rudely interrupted by Alex Jones, who insisted on talking over everybody. And then it got physical. Reuters:

In a video posted online by a reporter, Jones at one point placed his hand on Rubio’s shoulder.

“Don’t touch me again, man. I’m asking you not to touch me again,” Rubio said.

After Jones protested, Rubio said, “I don’t want to be touched. I don’t know you. I don’t know who you are.”

Jones countered, “Oh, you want me to get arrested?”

Rubio replied, “You’re not going to get arrested, man. You’re not going to get arrested. I’ll take care of you myself.”

Woo. Don’t mess with Marco.

Jones’ issue was that Democrats were “purging” conservative voices from social media and the Republicans were acting as if this was not happening. Since social media has effectively purged Jones for non compliance with community standards, Jones is quite upset.

Rubio left Jones standing in the hallway. Rubio should have told Jones the old expression, “if you’re looking for sympathy you’ll find it in the dictionary between shit and syphilis,” because clearly he has none to spare, at least not for Alex Jones.
