Donald Trump breaks laws like the yous and mes crack eggs, open mail, i.e., we don’t think about it. We just do it. Today he really outdid himself. He sent out both his batshit manifesto declaring the “old Republican Party is gone FOREVER” and he’s come up with something better, the “Working People’s [sic] Party.” I guess spelling and grammar are not necessary to a fascist takeover.

But before that epistle from Hell was launched into the ethernet, policy and piffle personified, Trump-a-thustra spake thusly.

HIs “envoy ambassador?” An envoy is a “representative or messenger, especially on a diplomatic mission.” An ambassador is “an accredited diplomat sent by a country as its official representative to a foreign country.” Grenell went over there to do diplomacy on the order of what country? Trumpistan? It sure as hell wasn’t the United States of America. Our elected government did squat to send Grenell over there.

And guess what, there are laws against this kind of thing. PoliticusUSA”

Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.

This section shall not abridge the right of a citizen to apply, himself or his agent, to any foreign government or the agents thereof for redress of any injury which he may have sustained from such government or any of its agents or subjects.

Donald Trump Is Actively Undermining US Foreign Policy And Needs To Be Arrested

Trump is not a government official. He does not get to have envoy ambassadors. He is not authorized to represent or negotiate for the United States government.

Donald Trump has gone from being a delusional loser who thinks that he really won to being a coup plotter who tried to overthrow the United States government and is now running a shadow government that is undermining US foreign policy.

Trump won’t stop until he is dead or locked up, so he needs to be arrested for his seditious activities.

Trump doesn’t just get to send “envoy ambassadors.” Not to represent the United States, he doesn’t, because he has zero authority to do anything on behalf of the United States. I suppose it can be argued that as a private citizen if he wanted to send a colleague to convey his thoughts as a former head of state to a country he once had diplomatic relations with, that’s probably okay. But “envoy ambassador” and this pompous posturing is not.

I hope the Biden administration throws the book at him. Poor Merrick Garland. He’s doing the work of five men, coming into his job post Trump. It never stops. It’s like dark and snow in the Antarctic, it just doesn’t let up for a minute.

  1. OMG!!!! When will this end with this friggin MORON Trump thinking he’s still the POTUS? Something MUST be done with/about him, and soon!!!!!

    • What I read the other day, and I’m thinking of doing a piece on it, is that Trump’s hotels are going under so he’s decided to monetize politics. He’s convincing his batshit MAGA followers that he has power that he does not.

  2. Ursula, I noticed that you’ve put [sic] after Trump’s little new party designation but I don’t understand why. “Working People’s Party” is completely valid; it means “the Party of the Working People.” “Working Peoples’ Party” (which is what your use of “sic” would lead to) would mean “the Party of the Working Peoples” which is grammatically incorrect.
“People” is a collective noun generally meaning “more than one person.” It does have a plural form like “fishes” for “fish” but used to refer to distinct groups of people, separated by heritage or language or culture who may or may not be related.
In fact, the US once had a “People’s Party” back in the late 19th century. (There is also a fairly small group of progressives using the “People’s Party” moniker now.)
Disagree with Trump all you like but his spelling (in this case, at least) is perfectly correct. Now, if he’d done something REALLY Trumpian, he would’ve done something like “Peo’ples.” Of course, his allegation that the party would really be of any true benefit to “working people” is a whole other matter but that’s not a matter of “spelling and grammar.”

  3. And on this: “It’s like dark and snow in the Antarctic, it just doesn’t let up for a minute.”

Um, yes. Yes it does. Currently, the Antarctic is in its summer which means there’s very little dark on the continent (just like the Arctic has its “midnight sun” in June to August; that’s the time of the year when the Antarctic is pretty much dark 24/7).

  4. WOW, so much information, Joseph, I read right through what Ursula wrote, could have been a typo with her [sic], it did not phase me one bit, anything Trump does now days, is truly, [sick] … Also, I did not see where she said when the period that the Antarctic was dark and snowy all the time, a common usage of words that could signify during the dark and snowy season …

Ursula, writes SO MANY posts and covers so many topics, even when her health and awake hours are challenged, I think she does really good work, I enjoy the coverage of current events she makes, and I would be the last person to critique her sentences and their structure, I guess I would never take the tedious time to do that, as some apparently do …

      • Sorry about that, I use that word with some of my former work crews who think it is fine to reverse a couple leads on a three phase fan motor so it runs backwards, it does not blow anything up but ends up being a punch card item … hence being, “phased”, but only the sound is right here, because none of our readers know the inside meaning of mine …

  5. Joel Poinsett was an early ‘representative’ of the US government in Europe, Russia, South America in the 1800’s. In the 1820’s he was sent to Mexico where he spent his time there fomenting different revolutions and trying to acquire more territory for the US. He was expelled in the 1830s. He brought with him a plant which now is named after him poinsettias which we display at this time of year. In Mexico they are called Noche Buenas which means more or less Blessed Night. The US has a long history of meddling in politics for other countries.

    • How about the Iran Contra affair. That was pretty much extra-democracy meddling. But tRump has NO IDEA WHAT HE’S SAYING OR DOING!!!!! He truly is certifiably bat guano nuts (and so is the person who wrote and posted that manifesto for him because he’s sure enough not smart enough to have thought it up on his own!!!).

  6. He is a legend in his own mind, otherwise known as a psychopath, and everyone in a position of power is afraid of him. Everyone with a brain knows he should be in jail awaiting execution for treason. Did I just dream this, but didn’t democracy use to have testicles? Has corporate American and economic success for a few made us all so afraid of hurting the money stream that we will not respond to treason? When did we decide to tolerate traitors, whether we call them Republicans or Independents? And besides being a wacko who lost the Presidency, he’s still trying to act as a President. Put the nut job away or down. Get rid of him.

  7. I myself have been sending messages to Mr. Garland DEMANDING former guy be held to the same legal standard as the rest of us. Might just be a waste of time sure but it feels like I am doing something.
