It looks like the Thursday debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump is on. Anything can happen, yes. But as of right now Trump is talking as if it will go forward and he will be there. And of course it’s one thing to talk big on right-wing media and completely something different to impress a crowd of people who represent a normal cross section of America. Luckily for Trump there won’t be an audience, or he would find out how loathed he truly is, just as he found out during the Libertarian Convention in Washington, D.C. recently. On the other hand, Trump will be alone with Joe Biden and the truth and that will not be comfortable. He’ll run and hide and dodge, of course, but that’s what the moderators are there for. And there will be real world fact checking, on that you may depend.

The chyron says it all. Newsmax is not Fox News. Newsmax doesn’t have the money and it doesn’t need the headache. They’re perfectly happy with the crumbs from Fox News’ table and they don’t want the big controversy.
It will be interesting to see how they cover the Thursday debate. For that matter, it will be interesting to see how all the outlets cover it. This is one debate where Donald Trump is being reluctantly shoehorned in. He does not want to be there. And he still might bail. Until you see him take stage on Thursday night, don’t count on it happening at all. This situation is volatile and unstable, like Trump himself.
He may still bail when they cut his mic.
I put nothing past Trump. If the debate is going poorly he might just throw a hissy fit and storm off. I’m willing to bet that’s a strong possibility. The man can only function in a bubble world of MAGA worship. Put him in touch with reality and he wilts.
When Don Don is deprived of his snake oil and concurrently have his shadowboxing theatrics controlled, there’ll surely be an opportunistic attempt to slither to the outside via that small space between the floor and fire escape door – with forked tongue hissing, along the way.
Remember he was going to testify as he brayed on the courthouse steps right up to the day. I wonder how he’ll go about saving face this time? Don Jr. had to be taken to rehab to save his life? Melania cried for him to come home to assist her through her grief? Eric was kidnapped by antifa? He received a death threat from a Black Lives Matter radical communist? He ran out of Depends? Hairspray? Makeup? It was raining???? God needed to talk to his ‘chosen one’? Stayed tuned…I wonder if Dark Brandon is practicing debating an empty podium?
