Now I get why Ohio GOP Congressloon Gym Jordan went into wrestling in high school in the first place.

You see wrestling is the honorable refuge for particularly young men who possess the requisite athletic ability for team sports such as football and basketball but are bereft of the stature necessary to excel in them… one just cannot imagine a fifteen year old Gym going hard to the hole and laying up a basketball into the hoop over a 6’6” defender, or striking fear into a hard charging fullback as a munchkin defensive tackle.

But he’s a member of Congress fer Christ’s sake, they should let him go on the rides at Disney World…

Sad.

🤣🤣🤣
Poor Gym, born 85 years too late to take his star turn…

Stop! I can’t take it…

Or, “Short People got no reason…”

I feel ya, Jody.

I swear, ya’ll are killin’ me…

My money’s on Marge.

👍👍👍

Yup.

Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner!

Maybe Gym should look into those leg lengthening surgeries I’ve been reading about.

At least he could get on the tilt-a-whirl.

  1. Maybe I’ll get flamed for this since I happen to be taller than average (6’4″) but when it comes to Gym Jordan I keep thinking an updated music video of Randy Newman’s hit song Short People from back when I was in college would be hilarious. Yes, Jordan was a world class athlete at one time and bona fide Olympic material. I’d also add that while you’re correct that for people of his stature team sports are a challenge but at the high school, and sometimes (although much less often) people of his stature have and do excel in certain positions, as running backs or defensive backs in football, point guards in basketball and certainly in baseball, most often at third and second base. Wrestling gives lots of athletes a chance to compete and they work like hell in practices and matches and while wrestlers at my high school (most of them) HATED and ripped on every basketball player all the time one of my best pals in college had wrestled some in our rival town’s high school team. Even when I was playing college ball, had eight inches and a good sixty or more pounds and even was stronger one night at a gathering of friends we wrestled and he turned me every which way but loose! His quickness and technique were more than a match for my size and strength advantages. Oh, and because he too was a musician (I was a great singer but he was superior to me in talent – a truly amazing operatic tenor) we had fun with Newman’s song. Both of us understood (as apparently so few did) that Newman was actually doing a send-up of people who make fun of short people. But you know what? Some of those lyrics do apply to some short people as much as they do to others. And Jordan is one of those “some people” for damned sure (especially in versions where Newman would add the word “beady” when referencing their eyes:
    They got little hands
    And little eyes
    And they walk around
    Tellin’ great big lies

  2. His size has nothing to do with what comes out of his mouth. Although shorter men do have some tendency of being over the top with their masculinity. He’s one of them. I can’t stand the man, and I think that he was abused during his wrestling days at Ohio State. Perhaps that’s why he comes off with such anger when he’s dealing with political issues. I’m just amazed the man was elected in the first place, let alone keeps getting re-elected. How much has he done for his district or has he not had any real challengers?
