Mike Dukakis learned this the hard way back in 1988 when he blew an early lead over George HW Bush by donning a blue tanker’s helmet (right, above) en route to an historic 49 state blowout loss.
But Ron DeSantis, who famously does not want Floridians to read anything, apparently does not know this bit of history – or else he would have never have made this ad:
