I would say that I don’t know how it can possibly get any worse, but then I’ll just wake up tomorrow and find out. As I’ve written, Trump has steadfastly thrown away traditional GOP constituency after traditional GOP constituency since the day he took office, and it just keeps getting worse.
For generations the military and veteran vote has been traditionally Republican and they’ve worked hard to keep it that way, casting Democrats as weak on defense. But the report that His Lowness was well aware of, and did nothing to stop Vladimir Putin from putting a bounty on the heads of American soldiers was a bridge too far. Votevets.org put out a scathing ad, coming right out and calling the sitting President a traitor.
It just got worse. votevets.org has just come out with another ad that continues the “traitor” theme, but with even more devastating effect. Here’s the ad;
I can’t tell you how potentially devastating this is. Trump isn’t the only one who has benefited from the support of active military members, their families, and veterans. GOP lawmakers, especially Senators have found that acreage fertile ground. There are massive US military bases up and down the east coast. Thom Tillis in North Carolina, Leningrad Lindsey Graham in South Carolina, two seats in Georgia, and even Doug Jones in Alabama all call major bases home in their states. Oh yeah, and John Cornyn’s seat in Texas. And here’s how it gets to be a perfect storm.
After starting out exclusively attacking Trump, The Lincoln Project has now branched out into attacking Trump’s Senate enablers as well. So, military members, their families, and vets are now all seeing ads portraying their Senators as filthy, disgusting turncoats. And now you ad in a spot from votevets.0rg, coming out and calling him a traitor in multiple ads. Put the two together, and you have a potentially devastating effect on Trump in the military and veterans community, but vulnerable Senators as well, tied to Trump by The Lincoln Project.
The GOP Senate has spent the last 3 1/2 years tying itself to Donald Trump with barbed wire. And now it’s time to pay the piper. There is noway for them to provide anywhere near the distance they need from him to survive. Sink alone, or sink together. Either way it’s glub, glub, glub.

Orangebob shitpants is Putin’s beatch, helping him in a transnational criminal enterprise designed to destroy democracy, especially America, as he wants payback for the fall of the Soviet union. The trick is to convince the lazy, materialistic, easily fooled American public, that this is a legitimate government as the institutions fail, & the lies & bodies pile up. I read a comment somewhere where someone asked “What is the worst day of the Trump presidency?” And the answer was “tomorrow.”
