Again I say, Ron DeSantis has got to have people working for him that are undercover agents for Donald Trump. The decisions he makes, particularly with respect to videos, are disastrous. His Top Guv video was mocked, so was his God Made A Fighter and then there was the homoerotic Brad Pitt as Achilles ad, followed swiftly by the Nazi symbolism ad. Now, to top them all off, watch thirty seconds of Stone Cold Dead, a $12 million ad buy that will air in Iowa and New Hampshire. And this is going to turn the tide for DeSantis. Uh huh.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has received criticism for statements using violent language about illegal immigration during the first Republican primary debate and on the campaign trail. Now, the super PAC supporting him is doubling down.
Never Back Down unveiled an ad this week, “Stone Cold Dead,” that will be airing in Iowa and New Hampshire. It’s part of an almost $12 million ad buy the group is doing ahead of the early primary states. The ad includes video of DeSantis’ immigration talking points from the debate, where he called for military action in Mexico to target drug cartels.
“The cartels are killing tens of thousands of our fellow citizens. We have to defend our people. We’re going to use force and we’re going to leave them stone cold dead, no excuses. We will get the job done,” he says in a clip from the ad.
What does Ron DeSantis stand for? “Extra judicial execution.” And when is he going to do this? “Real soon.”
You have to give him credit, he’s circling the drain in style. At least that was Will Hurd’s take.
And as I’ve said before, if and when Trump is disqualified, incarcerated, has a stroke or somehow is out of the presidential game, this guy and the equally clueless and characterless Vivek Ramaswamy will end up in a death match to see who gets on the ticket — while Mike Pence stands on the sidelines and intones Ronald Reagan speeches from the 60’s.

So, I wonder how DeSantis (and his GOP fellows and supporters who think along the same lines) would respond if Mexico were to suggest sending its military into the US to deal with the American dealers who are working with the cartels in the first place?
No. No. That would NEVER fly. GOPers would never condone any operation by a foreign military conducted on American soil. It would be treated as an “invasion” (a real one, rather than the fabricated “invasion by illegals” perpetrated by right-wing media) and met with a military response.
Of course, in all of DeSantis’s little attacks on undocumented immigrants and their being employed in Florida, I don’t recall a single instance of any Florida business owner being arrested over undocumented hires. He made life hell for all the immigrants who were merely trying to live and exist but the people doing the employing just kind of got ignored.
