It just figures. She was asked to attend, too. (We do not know who asked.) We spoke about her recently. Handicapped and dragged from her car by ICE, paying no attention to her words and/or her screams. She told them she was disabled. But that didn’t matter. ICE is ICE, and no one can stop them. Well, we’ve been told Homan or Gnome or Lyons can stop them – but they won’t. They’re loving all the attention, thinking it will make people less likely to try to interfere with them. Boy, were they and are they wrong. Gratefulness to Raw Story:
A woman who was brutally injured by President Donald Trump’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Minneapolis, Minnesota, last month was thrown out of the State of the Union address on Tuesday. Aliya Rahman, who was invited to attend the speech, was removed from the gallery after Trump began discussing alleged fraud in Minnesota. Trump claimed that the Somali-American community in Minnesota has taken about $19 billion from taxpayers through fraud schemes, although he has provided no evidence supporting that total.
Ah, yes, the supposed fraud, the rumor started by YouTube content creator MAGA activist Nick Shirley. Yea, that guy. The one who started this mess with no proof, just imagination. It might be time to revisit that issue for a refresher, courtesy of CNN. We’ll see. (Unfortunately, there will always be fraud anywhere and everywhere.) But back to Aliya and the SOTU, which was apparently horrible, according to friends brave enough to watch. That would not be me. Sorry…
Rahman was forcibly removed from her car during a traffic stop conducted by Trump’s ICE agents in January. She told a House panel earlier this month that ICE agents threatened to kill her. She added that they forcibly dragged her from her car, causing her serious injuries.
Indeed, they did. There were witnesses to that hooey, too. If even one person recorded this with a sound recorder, so you can hear her, it looks very bleak for at least a few hoodlums … if they can be identified and found. That’s assault. A lawyer may very well take her case for nothing, just to punch a blow at ICE. There are definitely pictures out there. One was used in my earlier column. Actually, there are enough pictures of ICE/CBP out there that one could make a mural on more than one wall. That shows that they have been doing so much stuff that people are taking pictures and videos! Keep your phones accessible if you’re out in public (and in the US, unlike Concinnity and other readers {Post It Note and Lil’ Blue Sock are you overseas?} that are not stuck in this hellhole). I know we have international readers, as I have friends in the UK and Tasmania. There have to be more of you here than I know. Digression aside, yes, it truly is an insult added to injury for Ms. Rahman. Sad. See you soon!
Friends, I know everyone begs you for money. I promise that among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a group of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the chance to keep telling the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula

What was the reason she was removed?
Ok, I looked it up and The Hill reports that she was taken to a hospital initially, after some rough treatment and then arrested for standing during the speech. She was silent and merely standing. She was a guest of Rep. Ilhan Omar. This is what this country is coming to.
Standing. She was STANDING. What a bunch of … crap! Thanks to Ilhan Omar for inviting her. She deserved to be there and see the stupidity in person. Standing. I’m going to be boggling about that for *DAYS*.
Sock here…..I’m in Virginia. With our new Governor ‘s rebuttal to the Yellow tufted orange Shit-Gibbon’s Variety show for idiots, I’m sure he will start showing his ass around here soon.
SIC SEMPER TYRANNIS!!!
(Thus always to tyrants!)
I wonder why I thought you were overseas. Strange! Hello from Georgia and yes, big congrats to your new governor!
From the article: “Unfortunately, there will always be fraud anywhere and everywhere.”
Hey Trump, that statement is true. You can see it everyday if you access the news with an open mind. You seem to think that you can make it all stop by implementing your piss-poor policies. Why are you such a horrible person? Huh? Why?
