Liz Cheney began her opening statement with a comment that Donald Trump “is a 76-year-old man, not an impressionable child.” One would think so, yes. No argument. But the fact is, Trump is a child. That is the horrible reality that is being unveiled today as the January 6 Committee “connects the dots.”

White House staffers and members of the Trump cabinet were in agreement by the end of November that the election was over. Bill Barr said shortly after December 14th, “that’s it.” But Trump didn’t get the memo. Barr was hopeful, however. He testified to telling Mark Meadows, “There’s a limit to how far he can take this.”

Jared Kushner said, “We’re working on it, we’re working on it.” I’m sure Kushner was. And to be a fly on the wall and see what that looked like, is something I would love to see.

It’s interesting that Dominion Voting Systems has waited on their litigation for this moment, because the January 6 Committee is going to give them their case. More on that in the next post here.
