This was to be expected. Lauren Boebert won her primary race on Tuesday. She immediately crowed about how she had “defeated the dark money, defeated the uniparty,” when in point of fact she was a terrible candidate amongst a whole slate of terrible candidates. It was not that much of a victory. It was much more of a testament to how bad the other Republican candidates were. But expect Bobo to be omniscient from here on out. She’s even quoting the Mango Messiah as if the thought was original and her own.
"They are not coming after me, they are coming after you, and I am in the way" is one of the stupidest things people getting criticized for their own behavior can say.

“They” if she means the police, came after her husband and her son because laws were being broken. Her son still needs a lawyer, last we knew, unless he got a public defender. And “they” if she means the press, came after her because she was making a public spectacle of herself. If Bobo had just sat in the theater seat and watched the show, like everybody else, no vaping, no groping, she would have saved herself a lot of heartache.
But she’s feeling omniscient now. And yes, she’s in a deep red district. According to conventional wisdom, she should and could win. And maybe she will. Or, maybe she’s burned a few too many bridges behind her and will wash out. Remember, last time she won by 542 votes. And yes, she’s in a different district but her reputation this year is even worse than it was two years ago when she almost lost.

But I wouldn’t get cocky, if I was Bobo. So far she’s managed to keep her head above water but the story could change in November. Lauren Boebert is not Ken Buck. Buck was a district attorney. He was known. He was a fixture in that part of the state. Bobo is a MAGA mouthpiece who hung on to office by her fingernails last time.
A high voter turnout is expected in November, quite possibly higher than 2020, which was a record breaking turnout. It’s established that high voter turnouts favor Democratic candidates and an electorate that is hell bent on sending Donald Trump off into the shadows may end up doing the very same thing to Lauren Boebert.
Plus, we don’t know what surprises are in store for Bobo between now and November. Her eldest son, the one who’s a criminal defendant for breaking into automobiles and stealing credit cards, could end up generating more bad press for her. That is a distinct possibility. Or, who knows what Trump will do between now and November to further alienate the electorate? That could impact Bobo badly. There are any number of possibilities. The one course of action which is not wise is precisely the one she’s taking, which is being holier than thou, cocky, and omniscient. She’s evidently learned nothing from the past.
With every “victory “ amplified by a crappy (non-liberal owning) MSM , the MAGAs will run wild. Supposed strength will come off as juiced up aholery (which seems impossible but just watch). These fools can’t help themselves. Only so many lies can be tolerated.
If Ms. Calaverse is smart she will beat bobo upside the head with the “carpet-bagger” moniker and flood as much ad space as possible with pictures of bobo making like a porn actor (and not a very good one at that). I will say again I am surprised bobo won Tuesday. I would think that segment of voters would have kept that clown away with a 1000 mile pole. Young liberals/progressives would not be fazed by her performance at the musical but people in the very red district she ran in-that kind of crap makes a difference to them and it isn’t the good kind. Have red staters become so jaded by Von Shitzinpants that they ignore all slutty performances?
Maybe the former guy will endorse this carpetbagger. We all know that works out well for the endorsee.
Colorado was lost when they didn’t elect Hunter S Thompson for sheriff on the mescaline ticket in Aspen. They sold out to the rich developers so now everyone is coked up, stoned, or drunk waiting for the powder.
