I remember thinking the day that Lauren Boebert and her soon-to-be-ex-husband showed up at the courthouse with their grandson in hand, that that was a bit odd. I simply wasn’t thinking. It’s clear as glass what Bobo is up to with the kid. He’s the main prop in the Granny role she’s playing for all that it’s worth in order to combat the slut image she created at the Beetlejuice performance she got thrown out of for vaping and groping her date. That’s not just my opinion, her constituents are making that plain. Associated Press:

“Most of us were like ‘holy cow,’” said Beverly Cuyler, a long-time Boebert supporter. “And one of the big reasons for that is a gap between how she presented herself as a Christian and what ended up happening.”

Expected to face a rematch with Democrat Adam Frisch, in a race that could determine which party controls Congress, Boebert tackled the embarrassment head-on at the Lincoln Day Dinner in Archuleta County.

“I owe each and every one of you here a deep, heartfelt apology,” she said as murmurs of agreement faded to attentive silence.

It’s an unusual tone for Boebert. The congresswoman’s unapologetic, Trumpian style had propelled her to MAGA stardom nationwide; now, she’s fighting for political survival at home.

Boebert, who defended former President Donald Trump’s claims of fraud in the 2020 presidential election and stood in the vanguard of his Make America Great Again movement, appears clear-eyed about the challenge ahead.

She’s offered olive branches to local newspapers she once spurned as biased. So-called ballot harvesting, which she’s decried as an underhanded Democratic tactic, will be part of her campaign strategy. Her supporters can attend boot camps to become versed in her talking points, which have partly shifted from national priorities to more local matters, a strategy endorsed by the state GOP.

The problem with the state GOP is that people there and the donors who fund the state GOP are busy making other plans.

Several former Lauren Boebert donors are backing a different Republican in the 2024 primary race for Colorado’s 3rd congressional district, suggesting that the congresswoman’s re-election bid may be even more of an uphill battle than some politicos expect.

Newsweek analysis of campaign contributions shows that at least 10 former Boebert donors, who funneled nearly $13,000 into her 2020 campaign, have instead donated their money to Grand Junction attorney Jeff Hurd this cycle. While the number of donors leaving Boebert’s campaign is small in comparison to the roughly 66,000 small-dollar contributions that she received last quarter, those 10 donors alone have poured $17,800 into Hurd’s campaign since he announced he’d run against the popular incumbent in August. […]

Hurd, who has never held elected office, announced he was running on August 16, saying the district “needs a representative in Washington, DC, who is committed to consensus-building and has a proven track record of being part of the solution, not creating more problems. I’m ready to provide serious leadership for rural Colorado.”

Bobo’s fighting two fronts now, the Republican primary front and her well financed and well respected Democratic contender. Since she only won by 546 votes last time, in the B.B. (before Beetlejuice) era, I think it’s a safe bet to say she’ll wash out spectacularly this time. At least, that would be a just outcome. All she’s done since she’s been in office, is tweet, insult people, miss key votes and disgrace herself. I don’t think the Granny routine is going to save her. Adam for Colorado. Donate.

  1. I don’t see her pulling off (pun intended!) the granny image. Not with the outfit she wears. Not only that, she’d look pretty ridiculous wearing a kind of loose fitting cotton dress like my granny (and friend’s too) wore back in my hometown. The same kind wives of farmers word every day but Sunday or when going out to someplace nice or some special event. (You’d be surprised at how nice some of their clothes were in certain settings) Anyway, Bobo couldn’t carry that off even if she were to try wearing those types of plain old dresses!

Now, what she COULD pull off (sorry – can’t resist!) is something else. Accept the spot she’s earned in pop culture and “milk it” (again, pun intended) for all she can. I recall way back the porn industry had some fun with making some Sarah Palin parody porno flicks. Not that I have an aversion to seeing built, naked women but even a Palin imitator? No thanks. However if memory serves “classics” like “Who’s Nailin Palin” were popular proving there’s an audience for any genre porn wants to have. “Granny Porn” I guess would be a logical (in that business) extension of MILF porn. And Bobo could make some bucks I’m sure if she took the plunge. Or, (Brain Bleach alert) allowed others to do if you catch my drift.

At the very least I’m sure that somewhere out there in porno land (somewhere in CA) there are adult actresses who look enough like Bobo that with a bit of makeup and hairstyling (or a wig) can easily pass for her. Frankly, I’m surprised we haven’t read news about some recent porn flick titled “Boebert Does Beetljuice”, or titles that are shall we say more explicit. It would be flash in the pan stuff but I’m sure there’s a nice paycheck in it. You KNOW countless MAGAs would pay up! Just like they did for the Palin porn.

Seriously though, I don’t think she’ll survive her primary. But we will still be stuck with her until her term is up. She’s not about to give up that 185k salary and the benefits & perks including the money she can grift from donors who, crazy as it sound will still contribute to her.

    • Why use a stand in? She will be un-employed in a year and ready to sell her self to a different boss, for even more money. She already has the retirement plan in place.

  2. I really don’t think you’re going to rid voters’ minds of your little Beetlejuice porn pic by giving them an alternative granny image-you’re just going to disgust them.
