Poor Donald. His wife may go on Fox News to say what a great guy her hubby is, but you know that’s because her book is dropping tomorrow and she wants to make the maximum amount of money that she can make, so she can be financially independent of him. And of course nobody on Fox News asked her why she wasn’t out on the campaign trail with this terrific human being whom she lauds but lives in a different state from. I think I’ll choose to believe the actions that I see Melania take as opposed to the words that I hear her speak. Now on the other side of the coin, while Melania sings hubby’s praises, Bikers For Trump, has taken a very interesting and different action. They’re doing what she would like to do and dumping him. So maybe to know Donald is to hate him, as we have heard.

Could that have been what caused Bikers For Trump to change direction? And their name? Trump’s stupid admission against interest, that he did in fact lose in 2020? Because something happened. This five year old article from The Guardian establishes how enamored Bikers For Trump used to be with their idol.
At its core, American biker subculture is rooted in the idea of rebellion – against society’s norms and against authority. It is about brash individualism, of saying and doing what you want, despite what others may think. In Trump, many bikers have found an unlikely idol: a non-biker real estate billionaire who nonetheless paints himself as a rebel, outsider and disruptor. […]
“I think they like his crudeness, his rudeness,” said Bill Thompson, a lifelong biker who is a professor of sociology at Texas A&M University Commerce, where he studies motorcycle culture. […]
The language is foul. The wardrobe is leather. Engines are loud, as is the music. Booze flows freely. Tents sell chaps and vests with gun pockets. You can smoke where you like for the most part. There are daily wet T-shirt contests. In the most raucous bar, men pay women in lingerie to spank their bare bottoms with a paddle. And for a state so far north that it borders Canada, there are a surprising number of Confederate flags on clothing, a sign of the links some bikers have with white supremacy.
By and large, bikers are an aging demographic and at times, it can feel like spring break for baby boomers, a time and place where the generally accepted rules of society do not apply.[…]
The biker love has not gone unreturned: Trump has repeatedly hailed the Bikers for Trump group, which is now a political action committee, and painted them as key allies.
“I have the support of the police, the support of the military, the support of Bikers for Trump,” he told the conservative website Breitbart in March. [of 2019] “I have the tough people, but they don’t play it tough until they get to a certain point, and then it would be very bad, very bad.”
Trump’s statement was read by many as a threat of potential violence against opponents if his administration were cornered.
That was a glimpse of how Bikers For Trump felt in 2019 and they supported him in 2020. So what in the world is going on now? Beats me. I’ve been searching for articles on what cooled the Bikers on their previous icon. He doesn’t appeal to them now, to the point where they have changed their name to Bikers For America.
Ergo, Trump and America are no longer seen as synonymous. At least not with this crowd. And if that sentiment starts to get rolling in right-wing groups, Trump is toast. This is a watershed moment, friends. Treat it as such and mark it well. Remember how in 2008 there was a mantra, when the GOP candidate would have some small victory? “This is good news for John McCain?” Well, this is bad news for Donald Trump, to lose Bikers For Trump America.
Maybe they’ve figured out he’s just a punk. Hell even Hunter S. Thompson’s first book was about the Hells Angels, who accepted him for a year until he intervened in one of them beating their woman. Then they turned on him. He rode with them, did various drugs with them and had them regularly visit his place. That being said real biker gangs are fueled by criminal enterprises. Their loyalty is to themselves. It was only a matter of time. The fact that Trump can’t keep his lies straight did him in. That and the fact the fat man rides in limousines and golf carts, and couldn’t ride a motorcycle if his life depended on it.
And he’s a loser, nobody on that side likes a loser.
I thought it might be the lies. A liar and a rebel are two different characters. Trump might have been the rebel but now it looks like they’ve decided he’s the liar.
I’m not sure that I see that they stopped supporting that orange pos, in this article. I just see that they changed their name. BTW I have been a “biker” since the late 1970s and hang out with others riders. None of us are in any Clubs. I have not seen any of my friends change their opinion of that orange pos. – they still love him. I walk a fine line between love for my very dear, long term friends and amazement that they could be so ignorant to not see him for who he is but to keep peace I don’t say anything political around them. Sometimes love or dear friends who have been so close for so many years just has to overcome politics. Changing their name may not mean anything. I hope they are turning their backs on him. One more group who do not like that man and who will hopefully vote to VP Harris. I will do some research to see if they have indeed turned on him or just changed their name.
There is a lot happening in the world of “chromo-sexua”l bikers. Harley-Davidson stock isn’t doing all that well and the average age of its buyers is 49. So, how much longer can you market your product to “The Graybeards” before they are all gone? I wanna believe there is good change afoot, but I’m gonna wait and see.
