What do you know that we don’t, Steve? Wowser. That’s all I can say. The polls have been closed on most of the east coast for a little over an hour and Steve Bannon has given up already — and is blaming Donald Trump? Oh, my ears and whiskers. This will drive Donald completely out of his phuquing mind, considering how short a drive that that is. Yes, we may have seen the last of the GOP honeymoon. Just consider now: We had Scott Bessent on the TV last Sunday and he was talking about the upcoming Trumpcession, and now it’s election night and the philospher of the MAGA movement, Trump’s former campaign manager and one time White House aide, has just thrown in the towel on the key races tonight. (This is a six-minute clip but worth the investment of time for the purpose of getting the MAGA *mindset.*)

The un-constitutionality of Proposition 50? Sheeet. C’mon man. And Bannon SERIOUSLY thinks that “if Trump had been engaged” there would be a different result in California? Are we talking about that gigantic blue state on the west coast, that California, where Trump’s guts are resoundingly hated? This is sheer madness.

“Bite Bannon’s bait.” (I will keep a civil tongue in my head, but you know what I’m thinking.) Of course Bannon starts talking about “driving a Mack truck” through the 22nd Amendment. Good. Go for it. Let’s see how easy it all is. You know my opinion of this Trump 2028 nonsense is so that Trump can suck all the political oxygen out of any given room. Ain’t gonna happen.

As to the “three, four billion dollars he’s collected in tariffs,” let’s see what that looks like. Where is that money deposited, anybody know? Because we keep hearing about Toyota investing billions, trillons, whatever, but then when the soundbite fades away and it’s time to actually look into what Trump has accomplished, there is nothing there. It’s all hot air, nothing more.

What a cheerful picture of the Republican electorate Steve Bannon presents, “low propensity, low information voters.” Let’s just call them “lowlife” and cut out some unnecessary verbiage, shall we?

So Bannon’s message is that without Trump the lowlife stay home and that’s why he’s blaming Trump for what will happen tonight? Maybe he’s right. Maybe he’s right. Maybe the political equation is really that simple, just have Trump on the ticket, the lowlife all turn out and the GOP wins. Without Trump, no lowlife.

So what happens when Donald goes to the big gerrymandered map in the sky? I guess we’ll find out. But for right now we’re going to focus on tonight because we could use a nice natural high from winning.

  1. I can’t listen to this nonsense. If you want an archetype, the paradigm, of two people in deep denial, this would be it. Your party sucks. It’s a uge, steaming pile of bullshit.

    • When you say “your” party, could you be specific. I don’t know if you’re talking about Bannon and his guest being in denial or what you’re saying, exactly. (But I’ve been up for about 20 hours and it’s been a hell of a night so my brain is probably fried.)

  2. The best news is the great winning formula from Bannon: “you can’t win without Trump”. Perhaps so but, bottom line and even if he is as healthy as he claims, Trump is mortal. And then….. This too shall pass (Lincoln?)
