Nothing like muddying the waters and making people believe things that are not real. That is Breitbart’s modus operandi and it is Steve Bannon’s. Bannon is alluding to “five or six” different ways that Trump could stay in office. Maybe they exist but they must not be legal or else Bannon would likely be enumerating them — at least “the four or five ways that would work.” This is fear mongering at its best. If your stomach tightened when reading the headline, then you’re falling right in line with the plan.

I’ll kick in my two cents: I don’t think that Bannon is going to go to prison (unless he’s yet to be charged with something we don’t know about) and I don’t think that Trump is going to get a third term. I believe that Trump covets a third term and he’s even rationalizing that he is owed one as reparations for the *stolen election* of 2020, but it’s not going to happen.
There is one legal path to a third term and that is a constitutional amendment and that will not happen. Additionally, Trump keeps falling asleep in cabinet meetings and he’s not likely to be able to finish his current term in the greastest of shape.
Plus, there are predictions that Trump could cost the GOP up to 60 or 70 seats in the House and with the unpopularity of the Iran war (particularly the gas prices) the Senate may well go into play.
See Trump and Bannon’s ploy for what it is: fearmongering.

i’m not aware of bannon’s fraud charges being dropped or trump giving him another pardon.
I have not seen the argument that prevents the following route for Trump to serve as president for the third time:
In 2028, the Republican Party nominates J.D. Vance for president and Marco Rubio for vice president. Vance and Rubio win the election. In January 2029, the House of Representatives elects Donald Trump as Speaker of the House. The Speaker of the House is not required to be a member of the House. In late January 2029, Vance and Rubio are sworn in as president and vice president. Later in January 2029, Vance and Rubio jointly resign as president and vice president. The Speaker of the House is next in line for the presidency, so Trump steps in as president.
Please advise me how this scenario violates the U.S. Constitution. Thank you.
