The commentary that comes along with this Instagram post says it all far better than anything I could add. I find this incredible. The call to not escalate the hostilities with guns is a good one. But the fact that neighbor would slug neighbor in a ditch, in Ft. Collins, Colorado no less, because the differences in this culture run so deep, makes my blood run cold.
We are in the last battle(s) of the Civil War right now. I don’t believe that’s a metaphorical statement any longer, if it ever was. This is the real thing. It’s neighbor against neighbor, sister against brother, cop against citizen, and vice versa.
