Nothing like a deprogrammed cult member to blow the whistle on a group of lost souls. We have seen it with Scientology, we saw it with Heaven’s Gate (although too late) and Ann Coulter is that to MAGA. I wonder if the author of E. Pluribus Awesome: In Trump We Trust, her tribute to how wonderful Donald Trump was, still signs those books, or if she’s shredded them all for kitty litter, or used them to start fires? She has freely admitted she “was a very stupid girl,” to have supported him back in the day.
Coulter has long been disillusioned with Trump. She evidently believed that he would in fact build some kind of a wall and that Mexico would pay for it. How she could have been so deluded is not for us to say here. That’s between herself and a professional psychologist, should she choose to engage one. Many millions of people knew who and what Trump was coming out of the gate. If Coulter got bamboozled, looking at the same evidence the rest of us were looking at, that’s on her.
To her credit, I will say that back in the very beginning Coulter warned Trump not to hire his children into key posts. She was resoundingly ignored. That one situation should have told her everything she needed to know. Here’s her latest blast at Trump.

The one-time MAGA supporter—and author of In Trump We Trust—became a born-again anti-Trumper in recent years, admitting she was “a very stupid girl” to support Trump in the early days of his ascendance. She’s since flip-flopped in her stance on the former president, calling him “the biggest wimp ever to serve” when he bailed on a total border shutdown plan she advised.
“Trump can barely speak English. He’s a gigantic baby,” Coulter told New York Times columnist Frank Bruni before the first Republican debate last August.
While she may have flipped the script on her former champion, and expressed extremely unexpected support for Kate Cox, the woman who was denied an abortion by her home state of Texas in December, Coulter has clearly not let go of her unabashed racism or her Karen-esque ways. She told moderate Republican Nikki Haley, “Go back to your own country” last year and continues to rail against “illegal immigration.” Instead of choosing a horse in the presidential race, Coulter expends her energies attacking Trump, Haley, libs, and anyone who doesn’t support a complete border overhaul.
“Trump won’t close the border. He’ll push for amnesty, allow anchor babies and sanctuary cities to continue, ban bump stocks, propose taking guns away without due process and hire half of Goldman Sacks,” she wrote Saturday on X, misspelling the name of the investment giant. “The presidential election is worthless. Concentrate on the House & Senate.”
It’s nice that somebody as high up in GOP world as Coulter would have already decided that Trump was toast. And I think her advice to concentrate on the House and Senate is sound. However, if you have MAGAs in the House and Senate, pushing Trump’s agenda, is it not logical, Captain, that the people who don’t vote for Trump for president will not vote for his down ballot sycophants?
The answer here has been plain for sometime: the GOP should have cut Trump loose years ago. But like all things shoulda, woulda, coulda, they don’t get done in retrospect. Hindsight may be 20/20 but it doesn’t fix problems. The GOP could have cut its losses at either of the two impeachments and voted him out of office. They would be done, Trump would be gone, the party would have moved on and be on the mend. Or, at the very least, it would be headed towards mending.
This way, the GOP has the same problems it had the day Trump took office. And that will never change until the GOP itself purges Trump. Or, until Trump so fragments and destroys the GOP to where it is synonymous with MAGA. And that is precisely what he is doing.
Trump is MAGA, not conservative. If there are still real conservatives left, they need to ban together, sans MAGA, and rebuild. Until that happens, there is no Republican party as that term used to be understood. There is only Trump and MAGA.
The last time Coulter blasted Trump he called her, “A whacky nut job.” Let’s see what happens this time.
Trump die? As my Granny used to say of my P.O.S. grandfather in wistfully honest, unguarded moments “The lord doesn’t want him and the devil won’t have him.” Being agnostic the whole God-Satan thing makes no sense to me but if I’m wrong and people of faith are right then the reason we’re still stuck with Trump is that those two are trying to figure out WTF to do with Trump after he’s dead. Because neither wants him anywhere near their respective dominions!
Well, Coulter can say she was a “very stupid girl” for supporting Trump but ain’t no way that skank was a “girl.” She was in her mid-50s when Trump decided to run for President–her “girl” days were loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong past her.
At least she didn’t try to pass off her support as a “youthful indiscretion.”
Not sure if you meant this to be humorous but you had me laughing much of the way through it………the shoulda, coulda, woulda……….exactly. And hindsight truly is far too late to the dance now. These folks are so embedded in their own fever dreams and cult belief system they couldn’t accept one fact-based thing at this point.
Someone needs to clue the silly twit into the fact that if you’re born in this country, you are an American citizen. The parents of that baby are not automatically granted citizenship although they can raise that American in America. Now that they can perhaps change and they are hateful enough, as we’ve seen, to do so.
Well good for her that she’s finally seen he’s as much a danger to her and hers and not just to the people she’s always hated and had zero compassion for. I remember not so long ago when she was all for throwing DACA kids into cages and then out of the country sending them back to places where they probably knew no one or even spoke the language. Good that she’s saw the light, but she’s still a hateful witch.
