All things Republican are breaking down right now. Every damn one of them. The party has been going downhill for 40 years and it appears that it’s just going to split down the middle into two parties or collapse altogether into anarchy and chaos.

Nobody knows. All that is known is that you can’t go into any institution within the GOP right now and find calm. Rick Scott tried to topple Mitch McConnell as majority leader of the Senate, Matt Gaetz is running a coup d’etat in the House against Kevin McCarthy, the likes of Ann Coulter, Kellyanne Conway and even Laura Ingraham are advocating everything from dumping Trump to mail-in ballots. It’s full out internecine warfare.

And then there’s the RNC chair. This makes perfect sense that Ronna McDaniel is on the way out. A sacrificial lamb(s) is needed and she’s the obvious starting point.

Two obvious things: this vendetta against McDaniel is a farce and whomever the RNC puts in the Chair position next is likely to equally be a farce. This is non stop flailing, what you’re about to see, the drowning man panicking and clutching at anything within reach, even a straw.

I think we should go all out now and fantasize the New Republican Party. Howze about Andy Biggs does become Speaker of the House, and Mike Lindell does lead the RNC and here’s the best of all: Ted Cruz should replace McConnell as Minority Leader. I think this is a winning formula, right here.

While we’re on Ted Cruz, here’s my all time favorite.

That was a dreadful statement then, but it’s only become more dreadful as Cruz’ 14-year-old recently was treated in a hospital for self-inflicted stab wounds. My heart goes out to her, growing up bi-sexual with an LGBTQ hating father.

Back to the RNC Chair, it’s not inconceivable that Mike Lindell could be elected. If Matt Gaetz can get Andy Biggs elected House Speaker — not saying he can, just “if” — then maybe the RNC would be insane to give the reins of power to the unstable pillow man. I rule out nothing in this day and age.

Kid Rock is another fine candidate for RNC chair. See what progress we’re making here?

I think it’s very safe to predict that the next two years are going to be completely wild. The GOP is a rudderless ship, with a mutiny taking place on board simultaneously — as it drifts towards icebergs, while an asteroid heads right at it, and an island full of cannibals waits for it to crash on the rocks.

  1. As we’re about to witness the death of a political party in real time, my money is on anarchy and chaos. Also, McDaniel may well have been involved in extralegal money funneling on Trump’s behalf.

    • Well let’s hope the party dies before Moore v. Harper is decided, most especially if the 6 political hacks on the s.c. put a knife in the heart of our nation. Having the ‘pube party spontaneously combust would make moronic decisions from the s.c. less terrifying.

  2. I am actually beginning to think this new Republican-led Congress will be a great gift to Democrats. Go ahead and put all the whack jobs in leadership positions. Make MTG speaker of the house. Make the My Pillow guy the RNC chairman. Hell, make Lauren Boebert head of the Republican Senatorial Committee in charge of Republican campaign money. Put them all in charge. They will be the best thing that could happen for Democrats in 2024.

    • Wait…it SERIOUSLY took you that long to figure this much out? Ah, probably shouldn’t be too critical…everyone’s been so distracted by Trump that they haven’t bothered looking at the rest of his would-be quislings. But yeah, no leaders in this crew…and don’t be surprised if they tear each other apart over the next year.

  3. Bareshark, I’m confused about how you think being an asshole to kindred spirits is going to help the cause. Maybe eat a cookie before being a jerk to other Democrats.

    • I’m an asshole when I think people are being obtuse, unobservant or stupid. It also typically gets triggered by defeatist malarkey that gives its speaker an out to do nothing.

We call ourselves the “reality-based community”. Well, the reality I’ve found is that it’s just as riddled with magical thinking, tribal prejudices and omnipotent evil as the worst of the righties. Therefore, I will never, EVER hesitate to call anybody out on such. It is an active detriment to our cause that demonstrate why it took Gen Z to save our collective ass this last election cycle. Bogie summed it up: ” Goddamn it, if you don’t want the truth, then don’t ask me.”
