You know the lay of the land between Marjorie Taylor Greene and Kevin McCarthy. McCarthy has never had any control over Greene. She does what she wants and censure or control are foreign concepts to her. She ignores all that and keeps generating headlines.
What isn’t nonsense, however, is the acquisition of power and the ability to generate more headlines. McCarthy offered her a plum position, most likely the Oversight Committee, and that’s when she changed her tune about him.
And what a tune that was. This is down and dirty even for Marge.

Now here’s what’s comical: Obviously, a woman whose own extramarital dalliances have made headlines and whose husband recently filed for divorce, seeking to create the same kind of scandal for somebody else in politics is ironic, eh what?
Oh well, no points for originality, Marge. What will be interesting to see in the days ahead is whether Greene stays on McCarthy’s side or knifes him. We know that Greene and Matt Gaetz used to be BFFs. We also know that Gaetz doesn’t technically need Greene right now, he’s got the votes to stonewall McCarthy’s elevation to the Speakership without her.
What we don’t know is how wild things will get in the House, over this coup d’etat that Gaetz is spearheading.
There’s only one thing to be sure of: Whatever Marge does, it will be because she’s loyal to herself and screw both Gaetz and McCarthy. And vice versa. There is no loyalty among thieves.
As Harry Reid once opined, “Politics has a feral side to it.” We are watching the animals rend the flesh from each other’s bones and drink their blood. Live and in living color, no less.
You’d think they’d remember how their sexual affairs hypocrisy went with the voters after the Bill Clinton impeachment. And how it strongly contributed to his re-election.
As always, they forget their bible and it’s advice, and long to cast the first stone.
They’re used to being forgiven without having to change their bad habits.
