Like a festering boil on the ass-cheeks of Democracy the Orange Ape just will not go away.
Trump is planning, pretty much no matter how the votes come in (barring landslide votes for the GOP candidates for Senate, which are not going to happen), to contest in court the results of the November election in at least Pennsylvania and Georgia and maybe beyond…
“In recent months, Trump has convened a series of in-person meetings and conference calls to discuss laying the groundwork to challenge the 2022 midterm election results, four people familiar with the conversations tell Rolling Stone. In these conversations, pro-Trump groups, attorneys, Republican Party activists, and MAGA diehards often discuss the type of scorched-earth legal tactics they could deploy.
And they’ve gamed out scenarios for how to aggressively challenge elections, particularly ones in which a winner is not declared on Election Night. If there’s any hint of doubt about the winners, the teams plan to wage aggressive court campaigns and launch a media blitz. Trump himself set the blueprint for this on Election Night 2020, when — with the race far from decided — he went on national television to declare: “Frankly, we did win this election.”
Trump has been briefed on plans in multiple states and critical races — including in Georgia. But Pennsylvania has grabbed his interest most keenly, including in the Senate contest between Democrat John Fetterman and the Trump-endorsed GOP contender Mehmet Oz. If the Republican does not win by a wide enough margin to trigger a speedy concession from Fetterman — or if the vote tally is close on or after Election Night in November — Trump and other Republicans are already preparing to wage a legal and activist crusade against the “election integrity” of Democratic strongholds such as the Philly area.
Trump’s focus on Pennsylvania, however, seems to be more about his own political future than about party allegiance or fealty to his celebrity endorsee. As he hosts meetings on possible 2022 election challenges, he’s also been laying the groundwork for a run in 2024 — where Pennsylvania again promises to be critical and competitive. As one source who has spoken to Trump several times about a potential post-election-day legal battle over the Oz-Fetterman race puts it, Trump views a potential midterm challenge as a “dress rehearsal for Trump 2024.”
So now we see why drumpf has been on constant grift cycle since the electorate kicked him to the curb. Other than the spiffy detail job on his Air Farce 1, he has been notably hoarding his hard wrung campaign donations these past months, much to the consternation of McConnell and GOP candidates who would normally count on the Party Leader to kick some of those funds their way.
Nope, sorry Rethuglicans, the ape has plans for that cash… further debasement of the electoral process by filing frivolous lawsuits that have little change of success, but provide rhetorical fodder for his continual attacks on democracy, further opportunities to engage in racists dog whistles at Philly and Atlanta to enrage his Pavlovian cult followers at his interminable campaign rallies.

But as we have seen, the actual outcomes of elections mean little to the ape.
No matter the results, drumpf will shovel money into his grievance producing machinery to further tear our country apart, probably because that is what Papa Putin has ordered.
Merrick Garland needs to take the gloves off now and concentrate drumpf’s feverish mind, and ample funds, on keeping his fat ass out of federal prison.
I wonder where he will scratch together the money to fund these lawsuits. The lawyers may speak eagerly about doing it, but I doubt they will work pro bono.
As I understand it he has 100M or so in his war chest from all the begging he’s been doing.
The kind he needs are like Kise: big bucks up front, because TFG has a well-earned rep for not paying bills.
He’ll appeal to his gullible, to continue funding his and the 3rd lady’s lifestyle.

See, again he is planning to call foul, even before the election results are in. He simply wants, (at Putin’s direction, of course) to erode confidence in elections and democracy. Paving the way for autocracy instead.
Eventually putie and pals will succeed. It might not be this election cycle but so long as putie, former guy and the rest are still alive, they will be pulling this stunt until it works. Now, if someone were to take out putie and if former guy were perp walked into prison, perhaps then our democracy would stand a chance of staying alive–and only a chance mind you because that pandora’s box has been flung open and it likely won’t be closed. Short of that, I don’t see how it will.
