In talking about Georgia Republican Senatorial candidate Herschel Walker yesterday, former One American News host turned conservative podcaster Liz Warren offered perhaps the most concise, if pungent, summation of the conundrum facing Republican voters, not just in Georgia, but indeed across the nation when she said:

“It does suck to have to vote for shitty candidates. That’s where the Left would like us to stop. But if we stop right there, then we are doing a disservice to our country.”

So, let me get this straight, Liz.

A little more than half of Republicans, who are free to promote and choose among from several candidates in their primaries, inevitably end up choosing the shittiest of the bunch precisely because they are the shittiest, and the rest of the Republican voters must simply hold their nose and vote for the shittiest candidate because not elected the shittiest possible candidates the GOP has to offer would be a disservice to the country – because ya’ll want the shittiest possible outcome for it?

Gee, when I put it that way it sounds about right…

But, do go on, Liz.

  3. Actually, Liz, here’s the real solution for you and the rest of your ilk who hate the “shitty” candidates: Get the more apathetic GOP voters to get their butts to the voting booths for the primaries and you don’t end up with the shitty candidates.

    What happens in the primaries is that the most extreme, most outraged members of the Party (at least, in the GOP) always vote for the absolute most extremist, most outrageous candidate and the folks who don’t vote in the primary wind up voting for the “R” no matter how genuinely shitty that “R” is. (They COULD always just write in the name of a better GOPer–or even truly hold their noses and vote for the Dem but that might be just a bit too much. Or they could go with one of the independent party candidates–there’s always a host of “conservative” independent parties out there, like the Libertarians..)

  4. lady, no one makes you vote for any given candidate. That’s your *choice*. Anyone telling you you must must must vote for some one person because reasons, should be told where to get off (1A is a good start).

    • The obvious question to ask … There does not seem to be ANY PLAN for the GOP, just beginning to target Biden and Pelosi, shaming Democrats running with great plans for a better future for everyone …

      Never offering ANY solutions for our sliding-not anchored economy, simply because they are on such high money platforms, thrilled with an over-abundance of power to say NO to Everything in any votes proposed by Democrats … So what is their REAL plan? Whatever it IS cannot be of any good for the Country … The regular dumb as a rock Repubs like Gym Jordan and Ted Cruz for a couple of REAL LOSERS …

      Our Grassley had better exit stage right while he can still mumble something that sounds like he has done SO MUCH for our State and the country in general, including putting a beer-man on the SCOTUS, by cutting off the FBI’s interviews of the 40 lined up former students that said Beer Man was wild and abused many women …

      It’s people like him, that take large sums of money from the Drug industry and the coal and oil teams — I suppose the 145,000$ wages are hard to survive out in the hobby farm he has in Iowa … It does not take a lot of effort to be a Republican these days, just follow McConnel’s lead, vote NO on everything, except raising Congressional wages and locking in totally-paid-for-healthcare and a bunch of perks none of us will ever see …

      I wonder how long these perps would last if they had to survive on our average wages and retirement plans, including Medicare, SS and any other savings plans, and don’t forget, having to pay outright for extended specialist and hospital expenses, out of pocket …

      The last harp from here, is these old white guys are deciding what a woman should do with her own body, the general State’s positions seem to be with NO exceptions, Grassley said he supports exceptions for rape, incest and protection of mother’s life … However, he also says the States should take over a woman’s rights … Without RvW he cannot do anything unless the feds decide to adopt the 15 week system of the idiot from the Republican Senate Old farts …
