Conspiracy theory is a pestilence in this land and it’s not the Democrats spreading it. It is the Republicans, who have apparently decided to give up on anything other than mongering fear and spreading lies in order to win elections. Today’s GOP is not about conservative values, it is about no values other than conning people into voting a certain way. No holds are barred in that effort.
A high priestess of the conspiracy theory cult is Michele Fiore, who was running for governor of Nevada at one point, but who has apparently now decided to run for State Treasurer.
Here was her campaign video when she entered the gubernatorial race, if you missed it. It’s a true jewel.

Fiore’s name is not on the ballot for the June 14 Republican primary. She’s apparently decided to run for State Treasurer. I don’t think a liar and conspiracy theorist of this caliber belongs in politics at all.
Here’s today’s entry into the lore of the crazy.

The shooter was 18, not 19. He wasn’t diagnosed with any mental illness and there is no record of him taking any medication for same. He was not transgender. That was a rumor that got immediately started on 4chan and then the likes of Paul Gosar jumped on the bandwagon, claiming, “He’s your kind of trash, immigrant, transgender, leftist.” At least Fiore left out the immigrant part.
A lot of characters get into politics, especially in this day and age. Let us hope this one drops into obscurity as quickly.
