Once again, we turn to the Thomas Massie Theorem for an explanation of how things really work in today’s GOP. Massie famously stated, “They [GOP voters] want to vote for the craziest son of a bitch on the ballot.” Apparently Eric Greitens has taken that philosophy to heart and he’s going to prove to you just how crazy he is.
Rather than walk away from the GOP primary race in Missouri for Roy Blunt’s vacant Senate seat, in the wake of his ex-wife’s bombshell domestic abuse story breaking, Greitens instead ran to Steve Bannon’s show.
Now things are going to get intra-party ugly.
MO Senate Eric Greitens rushes onto Bannon’s show to address allegations of domestic abuse made by his ex-wife today. He says it’s a plot coordinated by Mitch McConnell and Josh Hawley to take him out. pic.twitter.com/LZTyVhD6cX

Let’s see what Greitens reveals in the morning that will help us all connect the dots to McConnell and the aforementioned “RINO Swamp.”
I never thought I’d agree with Josh Hawley on anything, but in this case he’s right. Greitens needs to stand down.
But Greitens won’t and that is going to make for some amusing political theater, unless I miss my guess.

Once more do I hear Anthony Hopkins in Mask of Zorro: “By all means, reach for it, Captain!” The damage the midterms are going to do the GOP will be incalculable.
