You don’t need to study psychiatry in Vienna to realize that Paul Gosar is mentally ill. And you don’t even need to have a Girl Scout first aid merit badge to realize that something is terribly, terribly wrong with this man physically.
I am almost ready to put a *trigger warning* here, because watching Gosar’s bizarre movements, a Kabuki dance to a tune that only he can hear, is enough to make you seasick.
Gosar interviewed by Gaetz said Democrats only started “squealing and screaming” about his anime video because it was good. “I’ve got 7 siblings who are marxists, and when they start squealing and crying, that’s when I know I’m over the target and to stay there and keep going.” pic.twitter.com/sETveO2coY

In all seriousness, this is not easy to watch. As human beings, we have animal instincts about one another. There are certain signals that tell us another human animal is in distress. Sometimes it’s a simple sign like somebody not bathing or grooming. In other instances someone’s behavior screams HELP ME!!! and that is what I see here. And Matt Gaetz sits there like he’s a manicurist doing Gosar’s nails. Whatever you say, honey.

Gosar is so weird here that if his head cracked open and this turned into a disclosure scene from a sci fi movie, where you see what the alien monster really looks like, nobody would be the least surprised. And I’ll bet Gaetz would still just sit there, or maybe ask the alien being which color of polish it would like.
Watch this. This is a short horror film, about four minutes, and frankly it’s not as creepy as Gosar is in real life.
Of the two, isn’t Gosar seriously the more creepy?

Faith, Family, Freedom is on the wall, but what’s coming out of Gosar’s mouth is a defense of his anime depicting the murder of a colleague and testimony about how much he hates his brothers and sisters. The party of family values — and personal responsibility. Yep.

I’ll admit my onetime professional expertise has molded over some, but as I recall the side to side head movement isn’t a typical manifestation/symptom of tardive dyskinesia, a condition that develops after prolonged (many months although more often years) use of neurological or anti-psychotic medications. As for Parkinson’s Disease, the side to side movement shown in the video isn’t (as I recall) quite the same as the types of uncontrolled movements people not on medications have in the head and neck. Of course, people are unique and just because something isn’t typical with either disease doesn’t mean Gosar isn’t affected by one or the other.
However, something is clearly off with the guy. At best he’s suffering from an advancing neurological disorder. At worst? Well, need I go into all that? The thing is, even with “mere” neurological disorders (including Parkinson’s) over time a substantial number of those affected also suffer cognitive decline. Of course, give how bat-shit crazy this guy seems to be it’s possible he has both an advancing neurological disorder AND a psychosis of some sort!
With Gosar it’s virtually impossible to determine where the physical issue, whatever it is, ends and the characterological issues kick in. The man is a troll. I shudder to think that he was once a dentist and now he’s a lawmaker.
My father was paranoid schizoprenic over most of his adult life. Many of his medications caused tremors. He never had the head bob seen in the video. TBH I would say Parkinsons.
He’s lost track of reality: his siblings aren’t Marxists, they’re concerned about *him* and his health.
That sign behind him is missing the Saturday Waffle Special.
So is he.
Delliott, you’re wrong. Gosar’s involuntary neck movements look pretty much like what Michael J. Fox is currently going through with his tardive dyskinesia related to Parkinson’s medications. Here’s what you should do. Google “Mchael J. Fox tardive dyskinesia” then switch your browser to videos. Watch a couple recent videos of him talking about what he’s dealng with. Pay close attention to his involuntary neck motions. Then go back and watch recent videos of Paul Gosar. You’ll see it’s the same.
Medications for Parkinson’s, psychosis, and bipolar disorder can all result in tardive dyskinesia. There s no way for us to know for sure whch condition he s treating. I’m only sure that he is receiving medcation for one of those three conditions.
