Having a black skin in America is an invitation to hassles that the rest of us wouldn’t even think were possible. Check out this news story in Michigan, where a black man and his won went home shopping one day in the City of Wyoming, MI, with their realtor, who also happened to be black and they found themselves in handcuffs.
Grand Rapids, MI realtor Eric Brown was showing a home to a client and his 15 year old son when police surrounded the house, ordered them out at gunpoint, and handcuffed them. A neighbor had called the police and reported a possible break-in. The men believe they were profiled. pic.twitter.com/YNtzADwdgl

If you thought this kind of thing went out in the sixties, wrong, wrong, and wrong.
I’d have expected the neighbors to know that the house was for sale: the lockbox should have clued them in.
They probably did know. Check the response by Shenti Tager: “Apparently this type of thing happens often and it’s a way for white neighborsto let the black people know they are not welcome.”
I have been married to a black woman. Have been living with a dark skin lady from Alabama for 15 years. I adopted a mixed child at birth who is 25. I am raising a 5 y/o black girl. Although there is no such thing as an expert, I know more & have experienced more that just about all white folks concerning race relations. Most white folks don’t know anything about history nor do they want to. They are scared of black people without cause. Black folks are scared of white people, with cause. Mixed people are fucked, since they are black to white folk, & not black enough for black folk, oh, & not hispanic. As long as there is voluntary & cultural separation from each other, the fear will continue. Slap a blue uniform & a pistol on a white man,(& I am a cracker from Appalachia), u will get a lot of black folks killed, as happens daily. Its that simple.
