This week, I’m sorry to say, some of the furkids had a very sad experience. They felt that the best way to express their melancholy was through music and, as it happened the British group Smokie had recorded a song that described the incident remarkably well.
So the Furkids team got to work correcting the lyrics (apparently hoomin songwriters often get them wrong) and finding photos to illustrate the whole sad event.
They tell me they found some coins in the park for the jukebox this weekend so we’re all set to go. Also, they’ll feel very much better if you sing along with them and to please use the correct lyrics.

{{{Michelle}}} I’m glad we have you. Skritches to Ms. Loula. moar {{{HUGS}}} to you.
And we’re ever so glad you stuck with us. Skritches to the clowder and moar {{{hugs}}} to you.
I am just sooooo glad that I can not only see your diaries but I can actually say ‘hai’ again. (Thanks Politizoom!)
Thank goodness for Michelle’s weekly posts ????❤️???
Love this! I had never heard the song before today. Thank you.
That was delightful! I’d never heard that song before either, so I’m glad I got to hear it with the correct lyrics. ;>
Thanks so much for putting these together, Michelle. We’re really, really glad to have you!
What a WONDERFUL post!! I’m with the others – never heard that song before – but it’s great! And I LOVE all the photos of the furries; great job, Michelle, well done!
Smiles. Grateful to have P-zoom back!
Another masterpiece. Thank you Michelle.
Hey Mopshell, have loved that song forever and you did an amazing job with the fur babies. Thanks for that.
Enjoyed the pictures (we have 3 furry ones); enjoyed the song (not heard it in decades and had forgotten all about it); and how you pieced it all together. Strangely brings back memories of commuting to work with a co-worker in the early ’90s down the AZ State Route 51 freeway in Phoenix who claimed to know where Alice Cooper lived and would point out his house, a mansion perched precariously on a slope of Piestewa Peak – meaning that if correct, it appeared back then no one lived next door to Alice (Cooper).
