Well, this didn’t take long. QAnon Queen Marjorie Taylor Greene is pursuing the wingnut agenda full bore. She filed articles of impeachment against Joe Biden Thursday on what else, the debunked Burisma/Ukraine conspiracy theory. My take on it is that it’s being done so Fox News and right-wing media can have a nice juicy bone to sink their teeth into. Take a look.

This is from January 17.

No mention of the fact that removing the corrupt official was U.S. policy and it was Biden’s job to carry it out. Also, no word about how a consortium of world governments had demanded his removal. Hey, you gotta keep those donations to wingnut candidates and lawmakers coming, right? So start something that sounds like a big deal to the base.

Rush and Sean and the rest of the band now have a new song to sing. And I’m sure you get the idea here, that there will be two, count ’em two, impeachment scenarios going in Congress, at least for a time. Dueling impeachments, just like dueling banjos. This can only happen with wingnut QAnon types in office.

More bread and circus for the base.

This is a developing story and will be updated.

    • I expect they’ll go to the Judiciary Committee first where they’ll be thrown out. The committee vote will be interesting though. I’d like to know how many sycophantic sympathizers there are among House republicans.

    • They’ll probably get her and Boebert for trying to bring guns onto the floor. And Greene was the one tweeting out what was going on with Congress during the insurrection – that’s going to come back on her.

    • I’m sure both are under investigation with GAO (Government Accountability Office) along with others involved in the Jan 6 insurrection. Once GAO has collected the evidence (some of it on CCTV), they’ll refer their list of names to the FBI for criminal investigation.

  1. Isn’t she from Georgia? I can’t help but think of the main character from a terrific summer TV series that was from Atlanta. I know enough “y’all” I’m embarrassed I didn’t get it at first but fans of The Closer are quite familiar with Kyra Sedgewick’s portrayal of Deputy Chief Brenda Lee Johnson and her pure southern talk. I’m specifically referring to the way she’d sometimes say “Thank you.” Or “Thank you very much.” She had a certain tone/way of saying it that expressed not just disapproval to someone but actually was clearly “F you!” And before people on her squad accepted and eventually admired her she’d direct it at them! It took them a while to “get” what she was saying to them of course since all of them were LA born and bred. But eventually they got it. And enjoyed hearing her say it to others who gave her or her squad any crap!

So, in that spirit I say to Marjorie Taylor Green (RWNJ) for her attempt to beat a dead horse of a conspiracy theory one more time “Thank yew! Thank yew very much!” (If I had the skills to make meme gifs I’d use Ms. Sedgewick and her unmistakably clear sentiment)

    • Me, I’m hearing Ray Collins in Citizen Kane: “…but you’re gonna need more than one lesson and you’re gonna get more than one lesson.”

    • I always find that a little bit of Julia Sugarbaker (from “Designing Women,” portrayed by the late Dixie Carter) is always beneficial when it comes to a tone where a “Thank you” needs to come off as a “When I want your opinion, I’ll give it to you.”

  2. I’m sorry, I couldn’t watch the videos. It just seemed like more of the crap we saw and heard from Trump. At this point, I am so happy to have that out of my life.
