I come from small town in Southern Illinois that is MAGA. It has a MAGA Congress Critter (Mike Bost) who’s the little brother of a classmate of mine. Trump even held an event some time back at the Southern Illinois Airport between my town and the one six miles away where I went to college. My FaceBook feed is filled with lamentations, even wild (to the point of batsh!t insane) predictions the midterm results leading to all manner of disaster. However I get lots of other stuff, both from the few fellow non-MAGAs from the same town and people I know from around the country, as well as various progressive groups I enjoy seeing.
I stopped regular logging into my FB years ago but have more frequently checked it out this year. It’s a good way of taking MAGAs temperature and seeing their thoughts (not actual thinking, but thoughts regurgitated from RWNJ outlets) and lately check in daily. This morning I saw a parody using a scene from the movie Downfall (I haven’t seen the movie but need to do so I think) where Hitler is confronted with the reality that he and his dream are basically f**ked. He blows up of course. The potential to parody it as it being Trump getting the bad news of the midterm results has been too much to resist. I saw one in a tweet and it’s too good not to share (this is how it appears on YouTube:

Tell me something like this did NOT happen on election night, and more than once since. Dictators, even wannabe dictators like Trump HATE being mocked. So, I’m doing my part to spread this kind of thing and I hope our readers will help by sharing these! I’ve said before and I’ll say it again, I’m glad Trump only got hit by a bit of shrapnel in Butler, and that the idiot at his golf course in Florida was so stupid as to have his rifle visibly poking through the fence. The last thing I want is for him to be martyred. No, I want him to leave the White House humiliated and have to suffer that humiliation for a while. With some added humiliation of more stuff like this. Him in a prison cell would be great but we’ll have to settle for actual reality like him roaming Mar a Lago at night in a bathrobe rage tweeting, or perhaps him sitting in his skivvies like the Martin Sheen character at the end of the movie Dead Zone only not actually putting the gun to his head. Instead he’ll be crying about wanting to but he’s too ‘perfect’ to go through with it.
In the meantime, what I’ve put up here is a good start.
Friends, I know everyone begs you for money. I promise, among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. We’re a group of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. Good on you for finding these. Yes, I’m sure any number of ketchup bottles made the ultimate sacrifice on Tuesday night. Right about the time Trump was tweeting that he had nothing to do with this.
You should see Downfall. If you find a copy of it with a dubbed soundtrack, let me know. I had to read subtitles when I saw it.
There’s more out there. I typed in a search query and saw this article from Free Press Journal which has a bunch of tweets including one from Iran (shows ‘Trump’ being carried out of WH and tossed in a toxic waste dumpster) and has an epic title picture I’ve already downloaded.

I encourage anyone who finds a good one to add it to the comments. Yes, we have a lot of work to do and frankly for the rest of our lives to repair the damage Trump and his MAGAs have done, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have some fun at their expense!
I’m hoping someone with graphics skills I don’t possess will use a wonderfully funny few seconds from Ghostbusters – when ‘Walter Peck’ is in the middle of the street with panicked people running past and suddenly a big dump of marshmellow falls on him. Plenty of jokes have been made about it not being marshmellows but a certain body fluid but what would be great is someone using these ten or so seconds to turn the people into MAGAs (the hat alone might be enough) and Peck into Trump – and color the white marshmellow BLUE!
A still or two could be the template for all manner of mocking of Trump as his fails continue to add up.
The other clip I would like to see, but don’t have the skills to produce, is a mashup of the original Hawaii-5-0 intro with a ‘Midterm-2-6’ label. Once it switches away from the big wave you could put in places around the US and the people who flipped those places as the stars.

trump and MAGAs run
Anthony Perkins played an EXCELLENT post addicted Hitler in The Bunker.
There is another version in German called Downfall. Both are high quality staged history.
I made the comparison between Der Fuhrer and Hair Hitler in a post after the election. I could picture TrumpkinHead yelling at his minions like in the exact scene you used when Hitler is dressing down Field Marshal Wilhelm Keitel, General Alfred Jodl, General Hans Krebs, and General Wilhelm Burgdorf in the bunker for being incompetent and betraying him.
I could see Trump dressing down Miller, Wiles, Hegseth and Blanche for being incompetent betraying him on election night. It was very fitting.history does have a way of repeating itself.

After Hitler’s outburst, he finally declared the war was lost and started allowing the minions to leave the bunker, and the rats promptly abandoned the sinking ship.
Hitler’s Chief of Staff, Martin Bormann was believed to have possibly escaped justice, but his skull was found and identified at a Berlin construction site in 1972.
We’ll see how this one turns out.
