Apparently, Todd Blanche is clueless. He’s doing all this foo to try and interfere with elections, and they keep losing. And losing. Yes, losing. We enjoy the losing!! This time it happens in California regarding 20,000 illegal votes because the DOJ thinks they’re illegal migrants, and their votes shouldn’t count. YeaNo. They can’t vote anyhow because they won’t be able to sign up to vote!
Can you imagine trying to go through that many names about 2 weeks from midterms? That’s insane! It probably would take months to get through that. The mind boggles! Search for the first state that did this, where they found everyone was legal, is not cooperating, and let itself tell what it was. Some migrants were arrested for voting illegally, and then the DOJ became dicks about it. Ahhh, Nevada was the first state to have this nonsense dropped on them out of the blue (no pun intended).
Pardon the side trips. We are going back to California and a very angry judge. There’s a lot of information packed into the source, so in the interest of column length, it’s being brought over for you. Otherwise, this could take hours to read, and that’s something you do with a book and not with a column. So, with appreciation for Raw Story, here ya go.
U.S. District Judge David O. Carter ruled that the government likely lacks standing or a legal basis to sue, and that federal law against noncitizen voting doesn’t override California’s election procedures. He said the requested relief would likely conflict with the Voting Rights Act, the Civil Rights Act, and the National Voter Registration Act’s 90-day bar on systematic removals.
The judge also questioned DOJ’s reliability. Crediting an expert declaration, he noted the government hadn’t disclosed its matching rules or error rates, and said a comparable Nevada claim shrank from 15,903 names to 185, all later confirmed as citizens. He added that DOJ’s months-long delay in suing weakened its emergency claim and that the order would disrupt an election already in progress.
“This Court declines to be a party to such process,” Carter wrote. Aw yea! While we’re discussing this, another article said the DOJ has lost 27 of 30 court cases. We should really cross our fingers for anyone who is in a tight race. Like Dr. Amy Acton, who is in Ohio. As Ursula mentioned earlier, the damn ad essentially made Ramaslimy head down into hell. Dr. Acton’s lead has increased threefold. Now if we can just get Susan What’s-her-face to drop in the polls for Maine, we should be good.
Okay, whew, back to California (again). The DOJ really pissed off the judge. It turns out that there were actually more than 20,000. U.S. District Judge David O. Carter slammed the hammer down. The best part is that he bluntly told the DOJ to stop threatening election officials. Boom. Hard stop for the DOJ. What a pleasant change.
We all know that the DOJ is trying to interfere with the midterms coming up next week. Trump is frightened because it really is looking like a blue tsunami is coming. A lot of Republicans either tried to separate themselves from Trump, which is nearly impossible, or are doing stupid things that show the real person, not the public façade. Too bad for them. At least our people are being themselves when going out to town halls, rallies, and such. We’ll just keep our fingers crossed that our decent people will win and we flip Congress. Tuesday is going to be interesting.
Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that, of all the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the ability to continue our quest to tell the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula
