This is wonderful! Another Trump-chosen candidate is all about the fail. He is not doing well, no, no, not at all. Republican hopes and dreams are rapidly being dashed to the ground, where they scatter and then lie still. What was Trump thinking, promoting this guy? He’s weak. He made a mistake in his very first ad. He has none of the charisma needed for public events. Is he going to recover? It seems unlikely.
Senator Ossoff is running a beautiful campaign. He’s mostly staying away from attack ads, which say something about the candidate, not just the opponent. He’s doing outreach, even on the cellular phone level, which is a great idea! Even if someone skips the ad, they’ll still have seen his name. His ads are set up to make the person reading them feel like he’s talking directly to them. [Our household is in Georgia, so we have some deeper knowledge of the candidate, and we’ve seen the ads being discussed, but I might not remember them correctly. Hence, this is a disclaimer.]
Republicans are flipping out. They thought they had a safe seat to flip red in Georgia, but no. Ossoff is proving his mettle again. Republican candidate Rep. Mike Collins? Not so much. Definitely not so much. And with Ossoff doing so well, it could very well impact the down-ballot races. Watch Ossoff closely. He’s got a fabulous campaign manager because of their personal-type ads, as was mentioned previously.
And don’t forget his national notice. All he did was make a throwaway joke, and he went national. Xitter picked up on it. We all know how fast the word spreads there. Then someone in Trump’s camp got all bent out of shape about it. All it did was build him a bigger audience. Then he made a second joke after Trump’s people flailed, so it helped him again. It all started with a joke.
Now, what about Rep. Mike Collins, you ask? Oh, my. He’s flailing, too, but for a different reason. Let’s hear from and thanks to Raw Story:
Collins’ campaign stumbled out of the gate when his own launch video flashed the on-screen slogan “Georiga, Let’s Ride” — misspelling his home state, turning him into a national laughingstock on social media from which he has never recovered, according to the report. A House ethics inquiry followed, along with reports  that his son-in-law had shared pro-white nationalist material online, the report noted.
the bad headlines kept coming while Ossoff built a national brand attacking Trump. The race, “once rated a tossup,” is now widely seen as leaning Democratic. “There’s a general concern that,” said Nathan Gonzales of Inside Elections. Collins isn’t the right candidate or running the right campaign to defeat Ossoff.
Whyever could that be? The fact that Trump picked him and pushed him, possibly? Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock pulled off an upset before. They can certainly do so again. We have good guys. But it’s hard to see where this could impact other state races because Georgia is red. It’s possible, not probable. Yes, Ossoff is going to win this year, and Warnock will win in 2 years. Sticking my neck out to say yes, he will, because we can firmly count on both of them. Let’s watch and see how the ads go. There are members of the family who think he’s doing hurtful, not helpful, actions. Show us the proof. And in the meantime, we shall wait and see.
