This is something we love to see. Miller is having a breakdown over FISA, which is for foreign countries. But there’s more involved in this than we knew before. FISA, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, is also doing something it shouldn’t in foreign countries, and there are rumors of it being used here, which has *everyone* opposed to it. Miller is having a hissy fit. He’s almost as bad as Trump, except he doesn’t post in the middle of the night. That’s a small favor for us, as it’s unimaginable to try to think about Miller doing the same thing. Respect to Raw Story:

Stephen Miller tried crying foul about a proposed check on the United States power to spy on Americans, only to be brutally mocked and fact-checked online. Congressional lawmakers have been suggesting a requirement for federal law enforcement and intelligence agencies to seek approval to spy on Americans from judges from a court set up by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.

Does he not realize it could include him? We’d rather not know what was in his head, but it would certainly *cough* be educational. Wait. We can’t spy on the inside of anyone’s head, for which we should be thankful. Miller thinks he’s so tough with what he’s done with immigration, but he’s a baby when things don’t go his way. No one wants to be spied on. The sooner he accepts that fact- that means don’t use it on American citizens- the better off we’ll be.

Miller didn’t like the idea, writing on X that “A libertarian demand to make SecWar get approval from liberal DC judges (the ones who targeted Trump) is madness,” and called spying on foreign soilthe core of all US security.” He added, “No conservative aim is ever served through subservience to leftist DC judges.”

There is so much wrong with those statements that we don’t need to start rebutting them. It’s a waste of time. He danced around the use of it on domestic soil. But if they can, you know they will. Anyone and everyone could be put on the list to watch, listen, and see what they find. Anyone. No one needs to listen to our conversations. It’s a habit that would get bigger and bigger until it was regular Americans. Then we start living like 1984. It would take a while to get there, but. But.

Josh Gerstein, the senior legal affairs reporter for Politico, pointed out that “FISA judges come across the country,” defeating Miller’s claims that the Defense Secretary would have to deal with “DC judges.” “Two of the 11 are based in DC,” Gerstein wrote, adding a link to the list of judges. //// Former congressman Justin Amash wrote that, under FISA, “the government collects massive amounts of data on Americans while ‘targeting’ foreigners overseas,” in a post. “They then unconstitutionally search that data without a warrant for info on Americans,” Amash continued. “The ‘libertarian demand‘ he’s whining about is called the Fourth Amendment.”

As you can see, we had people jumping on him much better than I could. And that is information on Americans, too. Diplomats anywhere could have this focused on them. Their families could be watched. We can all extrapolate that out. But Stephen Miller has been taken down a peg or four. Isn’t it glorious? He’s been very low-key these days. Now, it seems he has been shoved back into his cage. Let’s have a round of applause for those who did that.

See you soon!

Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that, of all the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the ability to continue our quest to tell the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula
