Well, well, well. This is interesting. It appears Donnie could be worried about his most recent visit to Walter Reed. This was noted by one of the good guys on our side. Isn’t it sad that we are reduced to our side and their side? Trump is destroying America. There are some on “his” side who have seen the light. Nevertheless, something was noticed that is certainly out of character. With gratitude for Raw Story:
President Donald Trump has not appeared at a single public event in eight days — and the White House isn’t saying when that will change. Trump’s last confirmed live public appearance was on May 27, when he presided over a Cabinet meeting at the White House. Since then, his schedule has been a wall of closed-press policy meetings, Executive Time, and private dinners. The only glimpse of the president came via a pre-taped Fox News interview with his daughter-in-law, Lara Trump — not a public event.
That’s really something. Trump loves the spotlight. He loves to talk and tries to show off. But he hasn’t been out in public for over a week. What’s wrong with this picture? He’s quiet except for the usual maniacal screeds on Truth Social at oh dark hundred. But that doesn’t count as public, since it would seem they usually come from his phone. What’s wrong with this picture? Trump being quiet could be either good, bad, or both. It doesn’t make any sense.
The silence is conspicuous for a man who built his brand on dominating the news cycle. Even as he’s gone dark publicly, Trump’s Truth Social account has been anything but quiet — his team has posted more than 122 times in the last 48 hours alone. The disappearance comes just days after Trump’s May 26 visit to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center — his third visit in 13 months, a pace with no recent presidential precedent.
Yup. His Truth Social account has been more active than usual, even if it sounds like the use of an oxymoron. That’s a huge quantity, even for Trump. This is one of those that might make us want to go onto that messaging system to watch the meltdowns. But the interest quickly slides away. There’s only so much that can be watched before it gets boring. He tries to puff himself up for his base. He rants, raves, and obfuscates. He attacks. But there’s still something odd here with his vanishing.
His physician, U.S. Navy Capt. Sean Barbabella declared the 79-year-old “fully fit to carry out all duties of the Commander-in-Chief and Head of State.” Trump trumpeted the verdict on Truth Social: “Everything checked out PERFECTLY.” Doctors weren’t convinced. The report itself acknowledged persistent leg swelling, hand bruising, a 14-pound weight gain since April 2025, and a diagnosed chronic circulatory condition. Journalist Aaron Rupar sounded the alarm on X Tuesday, noting that Trump hadn’t been seen in public since the Cabinet meeting. The White House has offered no explanation.
Heh. They wouldn’t explain. Trump is (eventually) going to burst back on the scene with some meaningless boast about taking time away and doing this, that, and the other. He’s always a showman. But it’s a false front, and what is behind the public eye is held together with glue and a prayer. The question is whether or not we get an answer. But it’s still odd for him to go dark right after a visit to Walter Reed.
