The internet is all about what might be going on with Trump. We don’t know what, at least not yet, and we might not ever actually know. We could be looking at just routine, which would not be surprising. He does have to go in occasionally. Just routine. There’s no need to get all excited about something when we have to wait for answers. It would be nice if his doctors told him he needs to do things sooner rather than later, or be looking at a (gaudy) coffin. That’s unlikely. They’ve been very close-mouthed about anything to do with him. Will he be getting another cognitive test to “boast about”? With gratitude for Raw Story:

Donald Trump is scheduled to visit Walter Reed Medical Center on Tuesday for a medical and dental checkup — his third hospital visit in 13 months — as former White House physicians publicly question the administration’s transparency about the 79-year-old president’s health, according to a report by the Daily Mail.

His last physical was almost exactly one year ago, and this could very well be just routine. They are probably keeping a closer eye on him due to his age. So, every 6 months is not a big deal. We’ve seen conditions on him, but they haven’t prevented him from going out in public or talking, because we know how he loves to talk. Oh, boy, does he. He may very well blab out what happens tomorrow. He’s not very good at subterfuge, although he tries really hard.

“This White House just doesn’t seem to want to acknowledge any physical ailment, but older people develop medical issues, and the President is almost 80 years old,” former White House cardiologist Jonathan Reiner, who served under Vice President Dick Cheney, told the Daily Mail. “There just seems to be a lack of candor from the White House.”

Indeed. There is no way that Trump would ever admit to any troubles, no matter what we see. He always has a cover story for something. Ankles? Chronic venous insufficiency. Hands? Vigorous handshaking, which my household just tested, isn’t going to fly. What about not being able to stand very long, or the breathlessness we’ve seen lately? There’s no cover story for those, but they are fairly new. It won’t stop him from golfing. Almost nothing will stop him from golfing, no matter how much the country falls apart in real time. That’s quite an obsession.

The concerns are registering with the public. Just 40 percent of Americans now believe Trump has the mental sharpness to serve as president, according to a Washington Post-ABC News-Ipsos poll conducted in April — a seven-point drop from 47 percent in September. On physical fitness, 44 percent say he is up to the job, down sharply from 54 percent.

BOOM. People are losing faith in him. They have finally really looked at him and all the conditions he has, including the mental ones. Those have been showing up for more than a year. We remember how his rallies used to go when he started wandering off topic into sharks, batteries, and Hannibal Lecter. The windfarms that are ugly, ruin landscapes, interfere with radar, are built by China but not used by them, are an expensive form of energy, kill birds, and drive whales crazy. Moving along, we don’t see him handling the pressures of the job, especially with the excessive posting in the middle of the night, including often violent threats for someone. He falls asleep randomly, no matter how much he claims he was closing his eyes to listen with more focus.

More than half the country sees him as a liability now. The illegal Iran war hurt us and our military. It did nothing except make things blow up, which, coming via *gag* Hegseth, gave him things to watch. We lost the moment Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz. It seems to have been the tipping point for Republicans, and the people of our country, forcibly, so to speak, having their eyes opened. Now we’re almost to the point where we think Vance would be better, no matter how much of a cipher he is. Trump is going in tomorrow, and we’ll see what happens after that.

See you soon!

Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that, of all the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the ability to continue our quest to tell the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula
