Oh, my stars and garters, he won’t quit! He blusters and bloviates and threatens, but sometimes it’s hard to tell what is empty and what isn’t. He’s gotten into enough trouble already. He’s not quitting. He’s just inciting (mostly). What is the deal here, and why can’t anyone step in? President Donald Trump on Monday concocted a cartoonishly unrealistic Iran surrender scenario to complain about media coverage of his war.
The 79-year-old president had accused reporters of treason for their unfavorable coverage of the war he launched Feb. 28 and has imperiled the global economy after Iran shut down the crucial Strait of Hormuz, and Trump imagined the media coverage of the Middle Eastern nation’s leadership literally waving white flags of surrender.
Finding a screenshot of that latest brought up nothing, so it apparently hasn’t made it out here into the wild yet. If it ever gets found, there will be an update. In the meantime, where in the hail did he get this one? Trump really isn’t smart enough to interact with AI to compose anything. He had to have help. Couldn’t be any of the obvious, usual subjects. That’s something interesting to consider. Who has been helping him?

it wasn’t even close,” Trump posted Monday morning on Truth Social. “The Dumacrats and Media have totally lost their way. They have gone absolutely CRAZY!!! President DJT.”
Crazy is Trump. We have not gone crazy. Trump has. His late-night and early morning maniacal posts have shown us that it’s quite the opposite. Not a day goes by that we don’t read about or hear something from him that is absolutely bonkers. The only difference is what he’s ranting about. These days *that* is almost the same. Democrats, RINOS, primarying, and the Iran war. And “pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.”
In the latest reporting on what’s actually happening in peace talks between the two nations, Iran says it has sent another amended set of terms on a possible peace agreement to the Trump administration through Pakistani mediators.
The president warned Sunday that “the Clock is Ticking” for Iran to accept a peace deal and threatened “there won’t be anything left of them” if they don’t agree soon.
No, it’s the same old, tired genocidal threat. No, he can’t nuke them, as long as whoever is holding the briefcase has any chance of talking him down. But the briefcase, if it comes under a direct order, then we are charcoaled toast. That gets into actual genocide, and that is the *last* thing we need. Fortunately, it’s been limited to Trump and his Truth Social rants. It had better stay that way. In the meantime, we wait.
