We can always count on certain things when Ted Cruz is around. He’s sleazy, to start. He makes the home team lose whatever ball game they are playing. He ran for Cancun when Texas was hit with a horrible ice storm. He’s erratic, so no one can count on him for anything. And now, he owned himself in an interview. Thank you, Raw Story:

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) was brutally mocked by political analysts and observers after he made an inadvertent admission during an interview on Fox News.

Cruz joined Fox News host Sean Hannity for an interview on Monday, where the two discussed the potential impact of the upcoming midterm elections.

Cruz pointed out that Democrats like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) want to pass policies that could stifle entrepreneurial growth in America.

However, Cruz may have told too much of the truth in making that point, according to some analysts.

Do we want to pass policies to stifle entrepreneurial growth? Since when? This is something we hadn’t heard about. It seems about the opposite of what we want to do. Show us the proof, Cancun Cruz. Gives us details, laws, and what we’ve done to make you say that. Inquiring minds want to know.

“By the way, AOC also said it is impossible for someone to earn a billion dollars,” Cruz said.

“Which, look, I recognize for her, given she was a bartender, that is probably true. No disrespect to bartenders. Bartenders are an honorable profession.

But she went from that to being a government employee and a parasite sucking on the taxpayer.”

Teddy boy didn’t think before he spoke. He just owned himself. How does it feel, Mr. Cruz? In trying to own the libs, he did just the opposite. Does that phrase apply to all government employees, including Trump? What do you intend to do about it? Please tell us. We’d really like to know.

Some political analysts and observers called out Cruz for the notable phrase he included in his answer.

“Ted Cruz just called himself a parasite sucking on the taxpayer,” Hemant Mehta, a former “Jeopardy!” champion, posted on X.

Love him calling himself a parasite,” comedian Sam Weber posted on X.

“Ted Cruz seems to have forgotten what he is, and what he was,” John F. Clark, professor emeritus of media studies at the University of Kentucky, posted on X. “He’s never done anything but go to school, do some lawyering, and then go to work for the government. We need more bartenders and fewer lawyers in Congress.”

Sounds good to me. Can we kick Ted out first? And how on earth does he keep getting re-elected? That’s beyond my comprehension. Sure, AOC is loud about what she thinks the country needs. But she’s part of a democracy that’s starting to fray because of an orange, tin-plated would-be dictator. He can turn on you as much as he turns on us. So, Ted, you might want to rethink that comment. It doesn’t become you.

See you tomorrow!

Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that of all of the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the ability to continue our quest to tell the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula
