And other errors, of course … on a counter-intelligence document. How on earth did this happen? No one knows how to use spell check? And who let it out the door? This is just embarrassing! It’s just stunning, especially considering it was for disseminating. Thanks to Raw Story:

Critics hounded the Trump administration on Friday after the White House released its 2026 Counterterrorism Strategy report earlier that morning, which onlookers immediately noticed was riddled with typos and grammatical errors.

The document, which includes a lengthy foreword written by President Donald Trump attacking the “weakness” of the Biden administration, includes countless typos: the word “capability” is misspelled as “capbility,” the word “specific” is misspelled as “specifc,” and “school board” is merged into a single word as “schoolboard.” “This entire document looks like something written by an intern,” wrote author and foreign policy analyst Kabir Taneja on Friday in a social media post on X.

Okay, on a quick look through the first 10 pages or so, I did not find any of these errors. But I haven’t gone through the whole thing. There is a whole lot of *unnecessary* capitalizations (oh, my eyes!). Whoever authored this did not use one word when 10 or 20 would do. And, oh, my goodness gracious, it sounds a lot like Trump when he is in one of his word salad speeches. His “introduction” gahhh, take it away!

“…four years of weakness, failure, surrender, and humiliation under the last administration …”

Really? Since when? Funny, we didn’t have nearly as many concerns back then as we do today, not even close. We weren’t in a war. The economy was okay. We didn’t have the military committing potential war crimes in international waters near Venezuela, and Trump thinks it was bad under Biden? Oh, please. Get real.

The document also contains sentences that appear to have words missing. One sentence reads “counterterrorism is a core part the national security mission,” which appears to be missing the wordof.”

“This was once a serious document written by serious people in both Dem and GOP Admins,” noted Juliette Kayyem, a senior lecturer at Harvard Kennedy School and former government official. “Now it reads like a partisan screed, lacking data or analysis or discussion of capabilities or relative threats, filled with typos, and mocks the American public’s intelligence.”

Beyond the grammatical errors, critics also took note of what some characterized as the Trump administration’s partisan view of counterterrorism.

Heck, it had the partisan view of terrorism! This thing is unbelievable. By the way, you can get to the PDF of it in the link of the second paragraph. Prepare yourself because your eyes will bleed. Or they’ll try. Mine tried really hard, which is why I can’t pull more out of it at this time. It’s just … nonsensical. If they try to make this thing canon for this year, well, let’s not expect too much out of the administration. Okay, to me, this reads like bad fiction.

Perhaps most notably, the report names “violent left-wing extremists” as among the top three major types of terror groups,” and omits right-wing extremists, despite right-wing extremists being responsible forall extremist-related murders in 2024,” the third year in a row in which right-wing extremists had been “connected to all identified extremist-related killings,” per reporting from the Anti-Defamation League.

The document also lists “radically pro-transgender” groups as among the Trump administration’s key targets in its 2026 counterterrorism strategy.

“Hard to put into words how garbage this ‘strategy’ truly is,” wrote journalist and cybersecurity analyst Jackie Singh in a social media post on X.

Yuh huh. Garbage. Whoever wrote it, best not let him- or herself be known. It really is embarrassing. Outside groups will have a field day with this document if they can stop laughing long enough. This is the state of our country – daily fodder for other countries to laugh at. I’m thrilled … no, I’m not. I would expect you to feel the same.

See you tomorrow!

Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that of all of the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the ability to continue our quest to tell the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula

They seem to think that by writing down their lies, they’ll somehow turn into truths.

But all it does is preserve them, for future amusement, ridicule, and debunking.
