Apologies for being a day late. This is worth it. Saturday Night Live did a riff on Kash that was absolutely too perfect. If you will allow a moment of putting aside what shouldn’t be said in first person, I’m sorry I didn’t actually see it. I’ll have to go see if someone put it up on YouTube. Nevertheless, this was perfect, even in just words. My compliments to Raw Story:

Famous comedian Aziz Ansari delivered a sharp critique of Kash Patel during his appearance on “Saturday Night Live” this weekend, playing the controversial Trump nominee in a sketch that used humor to highlight concerns about his qualifications.

In the skit, Ansari’s version of Patel opened with a provocative statement about breaking stereotypes.

We can all see where this is going … or can we? Kash may actually be breaking that image just by virtue of being appointed to his position. There’s a problem with this. He has NO IDEA of how to run the FBI. He’s just made a disaster of it by kicking talent and experience out the door. We lost a great deal by that. He’s also 1,000 agents short because they’re busy (still?) redacting Trump’s name from the Epstein files. Back to Kash, now.

After saying, “You guys should not be reporting the lies and the gossip. You should be reporting on the historic nature of my appointment,” the comedian delivered a painful blow:

I’m a trailblazer. I’m the first Indian person to suck at their job,” the character declared. “Everyone says Indian people are smart, hardworking, incredibly intelligent. I prove without a shadow of a doubt that we can be just as incapable and incompetent as the whites.”

SCORCHED. And it seems that part of my comment shouldn’t have been said, because maybe Kash *isn’t* a trailblazer by his appointment. Oops. Well, either way, Kash has been taken down not a peg, but a thousand pegs. That was brutal. It was also extremely funny. He really is incapable and incompetent. We learned it right away, but Trump wanted him, so Trump got him. He’s just another inane member of the ‘cabinet’ with no skills to speak of.

The controversial performance quickly gained attention on social media. Spencer Althouse, editorial director of BuzzFeed, shared the video with commentary on the sketch’s intensity. “Aziz Ansari just appeared as Kash Patel on SNL, and they went innnnn on him,” Althouse wrote on Saturday night.

The skit represents the entertainment industry’s continued scrutiny of Patel, who has faced bipartisan criticism over his nomination to lead the FBI amid questions about his experience and previous controversial statements, as well as a report about his purported drinking problem.

Holy cow. Kash was Klobbered. He denies the drinking problem, but we know the truth. His behavior with going AWOL and the drinking, because his staff members have told us. They should know. (He does make a great companion for Hegseth, no? Yes?) The sketch was funny, brutal, and almost true. He’s doing a crappy job. He won’t admit to any problems. Does anyone want to wager, not that I do so, on how long it will be before Trump kicks him out? It’s a toss-up between Kash and Petey Boy. I will laugh loud and long when they get gone.

See you soon!

Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that of all of the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the ability to continue our quest to tell the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula

  1. Who else is going to be so corruptible as a couple of drunks like Patel and Hegseth? Hell, if you weren’t already a drunk, you sure would be after a very short time being yanked back and forth by Rump. I wonder what Bondi’s addiction was that allowed her to act like the ultimate b**ch. Something seriously wrong with that one. Maybe had an abusive father, was used to being treated like dirt by a male authority figure? Rump looks for broken people, people he can bully/bribe, that will allow him to be the criminal he is. First term he had too many people with some morals still intact. He made sure to not make that mistake in the second term. Plus, he had the help of the morally bankrupt Project 2025 cabal, who are intent on taking over our country by undermining democracy, taking away our votes, our health and healthcare, our education, our economy, our ability to grow food, to provide for ourselves, all things that make us who we are. They are traitors, dangerous, they need to be prosecuted for what they are doing, then locked up for good.

    • Carol, I need to think about this for awhile. You have brought up so many good points, e.g. broken people, and more. Otherwise, right now I have no idea what to say.

  2. I think Mango selected Kashyap because Kashyap goes by Kash. We all know that cash is the only thing that has value to Mango.

    • Bingo! That’s certainly a part of it, and he would be like Trump because of it. Trump might actually appreciate that. My nickname for him is Kra$h.
