Newsmax host Greg Kelly unloaded on Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth after he unexpectedly fired Navy Secretary John Phelan.
Earlier this week, Fox News correspondent Jennifer Griffin suggested Hegseth ousted Phelan after the Navy secretary insisted on complying with a judge who said that punishing Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) over a video calling on service members to disobey illegal orders would be unconstitutional.
We were wondering about that. We figured there had to be something more we didn’t know about, and here it is: Mr. Phelan was following a *judge’s* orders, and Hegseth canned him because of that. It was laid out by a judge, and Hegseth is going to continue to ignore it? That spells trouble for Petey Boy. He’s going to get smacked at some point if he keeps this up. I wonder who would replace him?
“Hegseth wanted Kelly, a retired Navy captain and former astronaut, brought back onto active duty and stripped of his rank,” Griffin reported.
On Friday, Kelly called Hegseth “despicable” over the firing.
“Frustrated that he can’t remove his Real Nemesis, the Army Secretary, He Fires the NAVY Secretary, has him ‘walked out of the building’ by security,” the Newsmax host wrote on X.
“But this was NOT an Urgent matter. Could have given the SECNAV a month, maybe 2 weeks notice. You know, The DECENT thing to do.”
There ‘ain’t’ nothing about Hegseth that’s decent, not anymore. He’s tried to make over the military in his image. He’s prejudiced against women and anyone who isn’t white in the military. Look at the promotions he’s blocked! And he’s forcing his ideology on the military, too. His religion is the only one that’s right. I (we) call bullsh!t!

I have doubts that he actually stopped. No particular reason, just a gut feeling. So Newsmax absolutely torched Hegseth and did so with style. You know that’s going to get back to him. And the expression on his face would be a joy to behold!
