This guy needs help, too. I’m always looking for subjects for my Late Night posts, and hope I don’t run across something like this one. He’s just as bad as the others, and he tried to be a member of Congress, again keeping the ongoing theme of where these people crawled out from under their rocks. And nothing really happens to him. Minnesota Republican Senate candidate Royce White was found liable by a judge for abusing his ex-wife and their son and ordered to have no contact with them.
According to The Minnesota Star Tribune, “Judge Kristen Marttila issued the order in February and wrote that White’s ex-wife — who divorced him in 2015 and lived with him from 2022 until August of last year — is ‘utterly at a loss for how else to gain peace from him.’
This is the third order for protection that White’s ex-wife has obtained against him, but the first time he has been ordered to stay away from his son. They also share a daughter together, who he is allowed to continue seeing.”
Ugh, see what I mean? They keep crawling out of the woodwork, and I’m beginning to wonder if it’s ever going to stop. So many people can show a good face to the world, but you never know what’s going on behind the façade. And apparently his face was a façade. Found liable for abuse, an adult and a CHILD. This is some bullsh!it! An adult can take abuse that kids can’t. So, what he did to the son makes me angry! *No* child should have to go through that. It wasn’t in my family, the families of the neighborhood, or even the families of the other gymnasts when I was still in the sport. And let me tell you, the phrases “you have to lose weight, you have to be thin” stick in your head and never go away. NEVER go away. And that wasn’t considered abuse – it was a way of life in gymnastics and any kind of dance. The thinner you were, the less trouble you would have at a performance. It was easier to do the events when you’re thin because there’s less mass to move. And lawd have mercy, did I digress.
The no-contact order is in effect for two years, and White, a former basketball star turned Republican political personality, could face criminal sanctions if he violates it.
“The petition was filed last December by White’s ex-wife and alleged that he had routinely abused her and their son and that it ‘has been escalating towards me and our children, making me scared for all of our safety,'” said the report.
“She said White threatened her in public, hit her in private and traumatized their children with his behavior. Marttila found that several of the allegations were true, including incidents where White abused his son at high school basketball practice.”
White also ran, and received the Senate nomination, in 2024, where he challenged Democratic incumbent Sen. Amy Klobuchar. That campaign was marred with a number of bizarre controversies, including an incident in which he posted a map of Minneapolis drinking fountains under the mistaken belief it was a map of crime hot spots.
Whoa. Stay far, far away from this guy. If his temper is this bad, abusing her and her son, he does not need to be in Congress, and he does not need to be anywhere near children! If White had abused his son at a basketball game, who else has he done the same thing to? I mean, damn! I don’t want him in Congress for any number of reasons, the first being the abuse, and then extrapolating from there. But he was a Senate nominee, so we can partially consider him as being in Congress. So which rock is his, and can we put him back under it and seal it with concrete? That will take some time to get through before we have to deal with him again. That would be lovely!
