Aw, yea. This made me happy, and may make you happy, too. RFK Jr’s time in his position seems to be drawing to a close. Good. He *really* never should have done some things that may have reflected badly on Trump. He’s an anti-vaxxer cutting back on vaccines, and that’s just a start. How about Dr. Oz for the Medicare family? He is so wrong for that. He keeps making up conspiracy theories that hurt people and their businesses. But, back to RFK Jr. Many thanks to Raw Story:
A former associate of Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said during a recent podcast interview that his old pal seems to be in a tight spot as President Donald Trump appears to have realized that he doesn’t need “freaks” like Kennedy around anymore. Kurt Andersen, author of “Fantasyland: How America Went Haywire,” about conspiracy theories, argued during an interview on “The Daily Beast Podcast” with Joanna Coles that Trump’s recent nomination of former surgeon general Dr. Erica Schwartz to lead the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention marked a significant shift in thinking for the Trump administration.
Indeed. RFK Jr is a freak. Trump should have known what he was like from the get-go. Cutting the head off a dead whale, then tying it to the top of his car to take home so he could study it, is freaky. Or stopping on a highway to cut the testicles off a dead raccoon so he could study them and the children waiting in the car. Wow. Can you imagine being one of his children with him doing that? No can do for me. That must have been disturbing.
For the first year of the second term, Trump seemed content to let Kennedy do what he wished at Health and Human Services. Now, Trump appears to be taking a more mainstream approach to public health policy, which Andersen, who met Kennedy at Harvard University, noted puts Kennedy in a tenuous position. “He does have this anti-vaccine, anti-science part of the coalition that was important,” Andersen said, adding that Trump “doesn’t need that now.”
He certainly does not. RFK Jr is creepy. He went into a tainted stream, then brought his children into it!!! That’s dangerous and apparently did not matter to him. He pooh-poohed the measles vaccine, and we had an epidemic. A small one, to be sure, but an epidemic nevertheless. And then he started in on childhood vaccines. *That* was stupid and even more dangerous.
“I believe it’s because most people that Donald Trump knows and talks to, at Mar-A-Lago or wherever, think this is nuts,” he added. “Things like the undermining of scientific research from the National Institutes of Health and all of that are crazy. So, I think he’s finally gotten around to saying, ‘Yeah, I have gotten what I’m going to get out of Bobby Kennedy, probably. So I don’t need these freaks anymore.'” Andersen’s comments came after Kennedy faced contentious hearings on Capitol Hill about vaccines before the House Ways and Means Committee.
Nuts is an understatement. Flat out crazy is better. He has hurt the country with his bullshizzle, and he needs to go somewhere far, far away, like, say, an asylum. He’s a danger to his family, too. Let’s hope his children figure that out. He has hurt America far more than he has benefited it, if that even happened. Good riddance!
See you soon!
Friends, I know everyone begs you for money. I promise, among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. We’re a group of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the chance to keep telling the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula
