Lots of Trump and Trump-related news today, so let’s get started! He went on another manic posting spree that has given people a lot of cause for concern. He really shouldn’t be up all night at his age, because it’s not doing him any good, and he’s become much more erratic in everything he does. If we weren’t worried before, we definitely should be heading that way. He’s almost unmanageable and making a mess of everything, not just the Iran war. Gratitude to Raw Story:
President Donald Trump made several dozen social media posts Saturday night about everything from election fraud to his administration’s policy regarding farmers, but one post in particular sparked concern among onlookers. The post in question was a nearly four-minute video of cultural icon Frank Sinatra performing “My Way” – among his most recognized songs and notable for its use at funerals – in 1978 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada. Trump posted the video without commentary, leading many observers to voice concern due to both the song’s subject matter and the post’s ambiguity.
Okay, yes, considering it’s Trump, that *is* a concern because we don’t know what it’s in reference to, so we have no idea why he posted that. It could be anything and everything up to and including dropping nukes on Iran. They keep insisting those are not in the equation for the war, but sheesh, it certainly seems that he’s leaning that way. His way goes from what he’s going to do to America, and gets worse, yes worse, from there. Or it could be my imagination, but the thought keeps popping into my head.
“[What] is going on? Should I be in a bunker or something?” wrote X user “Pope Respecter,” a popular social media user who comments on religion, in a social media post to their nearly 44,000 followers. “Should I be preparing for a global famine?” wrote another X user, “Michael Orthodox,” also a frequent commentator on religion.
Actually, either one is possible from Trump. We go back to the “he’s only out for himself” reality. Posting that song as a warning would then be a surprise coming from him. Bunker could be anything from military/police/ICE here to, as I mentioned earlier, the Iran war. Global famine, well, there’s a LOT of fertilizer stuck in the Strait, and growing season is already on us. It’s going to hurt crops, then farmers, then us, because the product will be poorer and there will be less of it. You can guess the pattern from there.
The vague online post came as the U.S. war against Iran continues to escalate, with Iran reversing course over the weekend and re-closing the Strait of Hormuz to U.S.-aligned vessels, prompting fury from the president, who on Sunday reissued fresh threats to destroy Iran’s civilian infrastructure (more on that shortly), actions that would likely constitute war crimes.
Oooookay. If Trump calls it and Hegseth does it, there are likely to be more than one or two war crimes that will hit that pair. (We don’t know about the persons in the military who would carry out the strikes. Maybe?) Yes *some* of them could be military related, but certainly not *all* of them. That’s a fine line to walk there. If they have proof for the military use, that’s one thing. But all of them across Iran? I don’t think that’s possible, no matter how grandiose Trump may make it sound. Plus, it’s going to take a lot of munitions and flights across Iran to hit all of them. I have no liking for the rulers of Iran, but the people are a whole different story. That’s just wrong.
