This is a bellwether for Republicans, particularly their standard bearer. You can take the folks below and multiply them by hundreds of thousands of people all over the country as people reel from what it takes to fill up a gas tank these days. Yes, the era of the electric car is here but until we all get enough cash to go that direction, it would be nice to be able to not have to choose between gas and groceries.

The demographics are changing in Texas. There’s a lot of Latinos and that voting bloc as a whole is disgusted with the machinations of ICE and well they should be.
But all demographics are hit at the gas pump. Trump calls us “idiots” because of what he assures us is a “temporary” inconvenience. No. It’s a hardship that most people have to live with, unless they are so flush that they don’t care what gas costs. That is comparatively few people.
