Oh, good. The “ceasefire” is being analyzed by those who know how to do such a thing, and we are making a very poor showing. It seems to be more to Iran and less to us. It’s yet another thing about the stupid war that Israel and we started. Plus, there’s an article out where Netanyahu says they will not stop bombing Lebanon, so the Strait remains closed. Again. Back to the subject, yes, Trump is worried and defensive. Good times. Gratitude to Raw Story:
President Donald Trump lashed out Wednesday at media outlets over their coverage of the two-week ceasefire agreement his administration reached with Iran, which has been heavily scrutinized for the concessions the United States would make to the Middle Eastern nation. On Tuesday, Trump announced that “authorities” were investigating CNN for having published a “false” statement from the Iranian government, a statement in which Iran claimed to have achieved a “great victory” in the conflict. Other media outlets have also published stories that include statements, letters, and documents from the Iranian government.
Heh. He doesn’t like being upstaged, does he? Just has to have a raging fit to make himself look better than the Fake News. But if more than one place provided the information, we would think there’s something to it. One place, hmmm, more than one, some truth. Not Trump’s truth, though. That’s likely part of why he gets so mad. He wants his version, not the true version, and has to attack whoever beats him to the punch.
“Numerous Agreements, Lists, and Letters are being sent out by people that have absolutely nothing to do with the U.S.A. / Iran Negotiation, in many cases, they are total Fraudsters, Charlatans, and WORSE,” Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social.
Pot calling the kettle black. He doesn’t notice that the descriptions could apply to him just as easily. After all, we all know he ran for President to stay out of jail. And Jack Smith would have *put* him in jail. What a glorious sight that would have been! Instead, we are stuck with an “insane” child who whines and cries and stomps his feet when he doesn’t get his way.
“They will be rapidly exposed after our Federal Investigation is completed. There is only one group of meaningful ‘POINTS’ that are acceptable to the United States, and we will be discussing them behind closed doors during these Negotiations. These are the POINTS that are the basis on which we agreed to a CEASEFIRE. It is something that is reasonable, and can easily be dispensed with.” The Trump administration tentatively agreed to a ten-point peace plan proposed by Tehran on Tuesday that Iranian officials have repeatedly claimed to be a “great victory” with provisions that would allow Iran to maintain control of a critical shipping waterway, and require the lifting of U.S. sanctions.
Well then, it’s good that we *did* find out about the differences. Those two pieces should be a major cause for concern. Frankly, the idea of Iran controlling the Strait of Hormuz is a major problem. They can do anything they want to the ships that are coming through, including demanding a fee for passing through. Lifting sanctions? Yea no. Let’s hope we have an interpreter who can read and write Farsi to keep Iran honest. Well, as honest as they ever are, which is not very. We need to hope very, very hard.
See you soon!
Friends, I know everyone begs you for money. I promise that among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a group of elderly, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the chance to keep telling the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula
