This one was closer than we want to even think about. Trump gets on a roll talking about our “wonderful military” when we know exactly what he *really* thinks. I’m sorry for the military member’s family who believes what he said. And after the latest debacle at the dignified transfers, there’s no way to tell how many are still willing to believe him. He got caught today before he blurted, so thank heavens for small favors. Appreciation to Raw Story:
Joint Chiefs of Staff Chair Dan Caine was forced to step in to prevent President Donald Trump from disclosing classified war plans. During a press conference about the rescue of two U.S. airmen in Iran on Monday, Trump was asked if all of his military advisers had agreed about the mission. “No, there were military people, very professional, that preferred not doing it,” the president admitted about the ultimately successful rescue attempt after two jets were shot down over Iran.
For *that* bullshizzle, please go read the truth in Denis’s column of earlier today. “Preferred not doing it” is a major lie. We don’t leave our people behind. All of Pz has likely talked (screamed) about this before. We have one rude SOB as the ‘president’ of our country. It likely took some time to figure out how to go about it. It’s not like the movies. But our people came home, and that’s what matters.
“This whole thing is militarized like nobody’s ever seen before. Half the people are wearing uniforms.” “Somebody said it’s the only time it’s ever been done. I said, that’s not possible. But it is possible. Because you’re going into hundreds of thousands of soldiers along the path. I mean, look at some of the helicopters, how they got hit,” he continued.
Again, Denis’s column tells the truth. We’ve gone after our own for a long, LONG time. Trump has no idea what he’s talking about. He just thinks he does, and that’s part of the problem. He has no real idea of what’s happening in Iran because all he wants to do is watch explosions. Hegseth loves his explosions, too. They’re so much cooler than people getting hurt or killed. That is happening! And it’s not just our side. Civilians are going through the same thing every time they hear something in the sky. Actually, by now, we’re also watching for things in the sky.
Trump moved to disclose the number of troops deployed in the rescue mission before Caine stopped him. “How many men did you send altogether? Approximately for the operation?” Trump asked the general. “I’d love to keep that a secret,” Caine advised. “But I will tell you, the number, I’ll keep it a secret,” Trump replied. “But it was hundreds, and hundreds of these people, that’s pretty good.” “Is he central casting?” the president said of Caine.
Ugggghhhhhhh. Still don’t understand how Caine can work with this guy. He must have a very strong stomach. And the ability to make Trump think he had an idea and act upon it. Trump and Hegseth aren’t thinking. They’re just doing whatever they please. That’s no way to run a war, and we are finding that out. Well, they are, at least a little bit. We already knew. With Trump’s disgusting, heretical post yesterday, Iran is not about to back down. We need to be out, however it happens. If Trump does something stupid tomorrow, the effects don’t bear thinking about. To be completely cynical and worried, he starts World War 3. And we have NO ONE on our side. He’s alienated all our one-time allies.
