Word has filtered out from the White House that Donald Trump does not like media coverage of the two downed planes (and the pilot that’s still missing.) Trump did not specify what he didn’t like about the coverage, only that he didn’t like it. This according to reporter Garrett Haake. Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, the speaker of Iran’s parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, took to social media to troll Trump.

Ouch. That is cringeworthy. And it’s completely deserved. Trump has no basic strategy for this war other than the Strait of Hormuz is going to “open up” one day, like a daffodil in spring, and then everybody will just run in and grab the oil.
Trump didn’t say a word today about the missing pilot, which is crass of him, but certainly not unexpected. Trump, however, did insist that the recent downing of U.S. aircraft would not impact negotiations with Iran. “No, not at all. No, it’s war. We’re in war, Garrett,” he told Haake. Trump seems to not be considering what will happen if our pilot is captured and becomes the first POW/hostage of this conflict.
That’s unsurprising because Trump is just winging it as he goes along. He’s clueless and progressively alone as one by one our allies refuse to become embroiled in this conflict in the Middle East.

One day he’s saying that negotiations are going well because there’s someone more reasonable in charge. The next thing he says is that we are going to bomb them back to the stone age. Doesn’t sound like he has a clue.
