I detest this guy more and more every day. It’s heading into hate because this is one messed-up SOB. His wife goes everywhere with him, SignalGate, his condescending lecture to the military heads, his over-the-top religion, his war, his love of bombs, his “no quarter” instruction, his threats to military chaplains, and now this. As I repeat about Trump’s ‘cabinet’, often, what is wrong with these morons? *All* of them get more disturbing by the day. All of them are helping Trump run America into the ground. In what’s being called an “exceedingly rare” move, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is blocking the promotion of two Black and two female colonels to one-star generals. The New York Times reported Friday that some senior US military officials are questioning whether Hegseth acted out of animus toward Black people and women after the defense secretary blocked the promotion of the four officers despite the repeated objections of Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll, who touted what the Times called the colonels’ “decadeslong records of exemplary service.”
We know *exactly* what’s going on with Petey Boy. It’s all about the manliness and the machismo, and only white men are good enough to lead. It doesn’t matter how good they are. They aren’t his “ideal,” so he skips merrily on by. We knew he was bad, but this takes the cake. There’s some serious prejudice going on right there. He wants them out of sight and out of mind; thus, ignored.
Although more than 40% of current active duty US troops are people of color, military leadership remains overwhelmingly comprised of white men. Hegseth, who declared a “frontal assault” on the “whores to wokesters” who he said rose up through the ranks during the Biden administration, told an audience during a 250th anniversary ceremony for the US Navy that “your diversity is not your strength.”
Hegseth has argued that women should not serve in combat roles, although he later walked back his assertion amid pushback from senators during his confirmation process. Still, since Trump returned to office, every service branch chief and 9 of the military’s 10 combat commanders are white men.
Whores to wokesters? Excuse me? That should have gotten him kicked to the curb. It’s a pity it didn’t happen. I’m really insulted by that statement. What is *his* definition of “woke” (DAMN, but I hate that word)? It’s long past time for woke to go away. It’s a nonsense word anyhow. WHY did the Senate confirm him? Was it under serious pressure from Trump? Every single ‘cabinet’ member is a disaster. Now we find out Petey Boy is seriously prejudiced. Therefore, how the hail do we get rid of him? His war is not doing well. Why couldn’t we get a real person with real military experience there? Petey Boy is all a facade, a clueless façade.
Leaders of the Democratic Women’s Caucus and Congressional Black Caucus issued a joint statement Friday calling Hegseth’s blocking of the four colonels’ promotions “outrageous and wrong.” “Time and time again, Trump and his administration have shown us exactly who they are—attacking and undermining Black people and women in the military, public servants, and women in power,” the congressional leaders asserted. “It is clear they are trying to erase Black and women’s leadership and history. “Today’s news isn’t an anomaly; it is a part of a coordinated and sustained strategy to undermine and erase women and people of color,” their statement said.
Sen. Jack Reed (D-RI), ranking member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, also issued a statement reading, “If these reports are accurate, Secretary Hegseth’s decision to remove four decorated officers from a promotion list after having been selected by their peers for their merit and performance is not only outrageous, it would be illegal.” “Denying the promotions of individual officers based on their race or gender would betray every principle of merit-based service military officers uphold throughout their careers,” Reed added.
So how about THAT???!! It’s illegal, not that Petey Boy cares. It’s sending our military society backwards, after Blacks and women tried so hard and proved they can do it. It’s an insult to everyone in the military. It really is. We have a dictatorial, egomaniacal, maniacal, fcking racist for our top military leader. I really, really, really detest this guy. And we’re at war, Dumb McNamara’s war. We’re in trouble.

tRump said recently that he likes to surround himself with people that are not that bright. That way, they will listen to his stories and admire him. I’m paraphrasing but you get the point. So this is what we get in terms of performance of duties of office. I agree that I’m just as appalled and horrified as you are. There’s going to be a whole lot of correcting needed whenever we get these idiots out of office. As far as the term “woke” I understand it to mean that people are paying attention to who is saying and doing what. So ridiculous that they despise us paying attention.
