What happened to him? Or who got to him? Our household supported him in his amazing campaign. Not only did he win, but he did it over someone else we can’t stand, someone worthless (seriously, and now we’re stuck with him in another position of power). Now? Well, he’s approaching turncoat with what he’s doing and supporting. We’re sorry he won, though he was still better than his opponent. The disappointment is palpable. With appreciation for Raw Story:

CNN’s Harry Enten zeroed in on a Democratic senator who will “no doubt” face a primary challenge, and history suggests he will likely lose. Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) has seen a stunning reversal in his support from his own party’s voters since he was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 2023, and Enten told “CNN News Central” that he has never seen an elected official lose backing so dramatically.

Seriously, this doesn’t make any sense. He was fine after his stroke, or certainly seemed to be. But over the past year or so, he’s blatantly not a Democrat anymore. It’s all Republicans ‘R’ Us, or rather, Republican ‘I’ Am. He’s not approving good things, either! And of course, my mind blanked on examples. He’s getting a little strange, too. What in the hail is going on?

“I would just say that John Fetterman is doing as well with Pennsylvania Democrats as the New York Giants are liked in the state of Pennsylvania, the commonwealth of Pennsylvania,” Enten said. “I mean, just look at this: Among Pennsylvania Democrats and that approval of Fetterman, back in 2023, he was a Democrat, liberal darling. He was at plus-68 points. Look at how low he has fallen, down to minus-40 points. He’s down there with the Titanic among Democrats in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and, you know, put a comparison point on it.” Anchor John Berman marveled at Fetterman’s drop. “This is a 108-point swing,” he said.

Dadgum. You look at it as a swing in the wrong direction, and then you *really* look at the numbers, then it hits hard. 108 degree swing. That’s a LOT. It still doesn’t make sense, unless, mayyyyyyybe that stroke had effects that are just showing up. Well, there could be other things, of course. We just don’t know about them. We can guess, but unless he talks, we don’t and won’t *know*.

There is no historical analog to this,” Enten said. “That is how unpopular John Fetterman is with Pennsylvania Democrats. There is basically no doubt in my mind that if Fetterman decides to run for re-election as a Democrat, he will face a primary challenge and will be a very competitive one.”

Is he confident enough to run as a Democrat, or does he see the writing on the wall? At this point, he’s a D-INO. It’s frustrating and sad to see how he’s changed. We don’t support him anymore. With all that he’s done up to now, well, we can’t get behind him, no. As a matter of fact, I’d cross the street if I saw him coming towards me, because otherwise I would scream and cause a commotion. It’s not worth it. And now, neither is he. It’s depressing.

See you soon!

Friends, I know everyone begs you for money. I promise that among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a group of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the chance to keep telling the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula

  1. Fetterman’s no longer a Democrat for sure and you have to wonder if he ever was. I know I know, he sure sounded like one and I bought into it too. His stroke and his brave recovery just added to the appeal. But somewhere along the way he became (or revealed) someone else altogether. Someone who should be wearing a red Chinese MAGAt cap and kissing ass in Trumpler’s cabinet. I really hope Pennsylvania has a real Democrat waiting to topple him.

    • Agreed. It’s a matter of looking at everything we know about him and thinking below the surface. He did some honestly good things but now it seems it’s completely the opposite. He should just change his party affiliation, as much as he insists he’s still a Democrat. There’s no one who can or will correct him. It’s obvious to us out here. Why can’t Congressional Democrats see it and be prepared for his defection? Wake up, kiddies. This is the real Fetterman.

  2. Progress (or progression) after a stroke is unpredictable. Fetterman did not seem fine after his stroke, as the article says, but suffered depression and other follow-on effects (in med-speak, sequelae). Who knows what else may have happened to him? Maybe other incidents, like one or more TIAs. Whatever the case, the stroke changed him profoundly. It’s sad but not surprising that he’s not the same person.

    • Oh, my, thank you for all the information! I’m not a doctor, so all I could do was guess. A family member had a stroke and seemingly came through it fine. There’s haven’t been any noticeable changes at this point (it happened a couple of years ago). So you giving me this knowledge is great. Thank you again!

  3. No, he very much IS a Democrat, a REAL democrat, not the ones today who are all cowering in fear of a small and sadly growing percentage of the Dem’s who think “Progressive” is siding with the Jew Haters more and more and more. THAT is NOT progressive!!! Jew hate goes back thousands of years so let’s be clear: Tlaib, Omar, Bernie, AOC, Ro Khanna, Mark Pocan etc etc are NOT progressives, they are REGRESSIVES!!!!!!! In my Jewish mind, it’s time MORE democrats told this to the Regressives directly, instead of cowering under a poll and saying “Oh I guess Israel is committing genocide after all (when it most certainly is not and NEVER HAS!). Fetterman is one of the few TRUE centrist democrats left who speak their mind and are NOT following this Jew-Hate bullshit down the 3,000 year-old rabbit hole. Accordingly, whether you-all like it or not, Fetterman is, in my opinion, one of the Democrats who could LEGITIMATELY win the presidency!!! And accordingly, take the country BACK to the middle between rabid Dems and Repubs!!!!! Now there’s an opinion a lot of you haven’t considered, isn’t it? Fetterman is NOT Joe Manchin!!!!

    • Ok, ok, ok already! Screaming at me is *not helpful*! Do NOT assume everyone is anti-Jew. Do NOT insult my intelligence like that.

I am willing to listen. You know that. I am willing to learn. You know that, too. Popping off the cork like this is going to make people mad and *less* likely to listen, because it seems you are accusing all of us without asking first. That’s a reverse prejudice on your part. You need to *tell us* why you feel this way. Support what you’re saying, instead of screaming.

Democrats are rabid but Republicans aren’t? Right.

I read your comment multiple times, and I thought long and hard before responding because you made me angry. If that’s what you were trying to achieve, congratulations.
