Attorney General Pam Bondi has been subpoenaed by the House Oversight Committee. The vote, cast on Wednesday, was introduced by Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), who wants answers on why the Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking case files have not been released in compliance with federal law.
Well, well, well. How about that? Space Mace actually did something decent! Perhaps she’s not all drunk all the time after all. Will our hearts stand the shock? Now, the DoJ is *definitely* breaking the law, the one Trump had to sign because Congress could override him. We’ve been waiting for information for over 2 months now. It seems the DoJ actually DOES NOT know the law. That’s backwards.
Per PBS NewsHour’s Lisa Desjardins, all Democrats on the committee backed her resolution, as well as four other Republicans: Reps. Lauren Boebert (R-CO), Scott Perry (R-PA), Tim Burchett (R-TN), and Michael Cloud (R-TX). In a statement posted to X before the vote, Mace — a sexual assault survivor herself — vowed to get answers for the public from President Donald Trump’s top law enforcement official.
Color me cynical, but I don’t necessarily believe she was a survivor. She *says* she’s a survivor, but. But. We could have expected Ho-bert to throw in with them, but the others are a bit surprising. If we’re lucky (heh), that could mean that some Republicans are finally seeing the light. They are chosen *by the people* and should answer *to* the people. Instead, they follow along like sheep, afraid, mostly, to step out of line. Let’s hear it for growing an actual spine!

I’m not holding my breath about getting any answers from Blondi, not after the last debacle of bullsh!t. At least they’re trying, which is certainly better than nothing. “Why are you hiding this?” is a great question, if someone thinks to ask it. Then she’ll obfuscate and blather and dance around without giving an actual answer. Beotch. We’re potentially looking at another debacle. She’s going to try to get out of it with some nonsense reason. If she actually knows anything about law, she should be realizing she’s almost out of options. Remember her behavior towards the survivors, the people who came out and told us this happened. It’s not going to be any different if she actually answers the subpoena. Could we hope she goes down with Krispi?

I’ll bet Trump is looking forward to the hearing. He’ll expect a repeat of the AG turning to a page in her binder for her attack lines against Democrats of course. But she’ll also have pages for Bobo and Mace, both of which let’s face us are easy targets. As the day approaches a single word will start to dominate Trump’s twisted mind with anticipation – CATFIGHT!
Will Bondi actually ‘go there?’ and hurl wisecracks about Bobo and handjobs during a theatrical performance or Mace talking to a Sunday prayer breakfast about barely getting there because her lover wanted a Sunday morning quickie? And, how would either respond, especially in their limited time. Remember, in the Senate each questioner is allotted ten minutes but in the House only five.
Zero cause for celebration because the GOP-Nazi Administration always replaces a departed criminal cabinet member with another criminal equally bad or worse. The only cause for celebration is every time there are GOP-Nazis backstabbing & front-stabbing each other, jockeying for position and favored Trump puppet bend-the-knee cult worshiper status because every minute they are dysfunctional is a possibility of them doing less harm to us ordinary taxpaying Americans.
