What *is* it with Trump and his overwhelming urge to complain, criticize, just plain outdo Obama? This obsession is only outweighed by his obsession with money, and that’s saying something. He can’t get over it. The latest blowup is over something anyone else would consider minor. With appreciation, Raw Story:
President Donald Trump took aim Sunday at former President Barack Obama’s Presidential Center and library in a furious outburst on social media, insisting that the ongoing project was sparking outrage among members of nearby communities. “Illinois is spending hundreds of millions of dollars in trying to BAIL OUT Obama’s badly delayed, and tremendously over budget, ‘Library,’” Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social. “The neighborhood is ANGRY AS HELL. It is a total disaster!”
Oyyyy. That’s a little excessive. And on what basis does he make these claims? Likely, none. It’s just what his head happened to grab onto today. He had to find something to rant about, don’t you know? Maybe his thumbs called for a break on the SCOTUS decision. For as much as he carries on, you’d think he’d get tired of it. But apparently, he has to keep trying to prove he’s better than Obama, even though he knows he fails every time.
Originally slated to open in 2021, the Barack Obama Presidential Center is now expected to open in Chicago, Illinois, this June, with its construction halted several times due to lawsuits and cost factors.
Looked this up. Here’s what was found.
Protect Our Parks (Land Use): Plaintiffs argued that the City of Chicago and the Park District violated the public trust doctrine by transferring parkland to a private entity. Federal courts have largely dismissed these claims, allowing construction to move forward.
Subcontractor Suit (2025): II In One Concrete filed a $40.75 million lawsuit against Thornton Tomasetti, alleging racial bias and claiming they were forced to perform extra work, according to FOX 32 Chicago reports.
Status: The main construction challenges from park activists have been defeated in court, and the center is under construction in Jackson Park.
It seems that none of these directly involved Barack Obama. So that’s something.
Obama’s presidential library has long been a target for Trump. Last May, Trump attacked the project as “woke” and a “disaster,” and in October, he described its design as “not too pretty,” proclaiming that the former president “needs help” for having approved such a design.
Plans are already underway for Trump’s own presidential library to be constructed, with Miami Dade College trustees voting last December to approve the transfer of a 3-acre plot of land in Miami, Florida, to be used for the project.
Heh. If Obama’s design is not too pretty, Trump’s design is going to be much too gaudy. It won’t be pretty either. How much gold do you think they’ll be able to fit into it? And what do you want to bet he won’t admit that the gold is fake? We should look forward to seeing his design. We’ll have far too much fun ripping it apart. Obama’s presidential library has been a source of controversy ever since its inception, and has only gotten more so. If there were no Republican Party, if Trump did not exist, it would still be controversial because of its huge impact on the Jackson Park and surrounding neighborhood in Chicago, the fact that it’s a non-traditional, private operation rather than a federal archive under NARA, the privatization of public land, the eyesore style of architecture, the lack of a Community Benefits Agreement (CBA(, and the huge and growing costs. So it’s low-hanging fruit and easy pickings for Trump and the Republicans, who are just parasitizing off already-existing (and in this case quite justified) complaints. And this is just fodder to Trump’s base, because the people negatively affected by this project would never support Trump in a million years.
He wont STFU about Obama because he knows he cannot, in any way shape, form, or achievement, be as good and also be black, like Obama. He’s just an envious and jealous twatwoffle. That is, he’s stupid, obnoxious, and won’t STFU. He gives unsolicited rants and advice while being offensively racist. He’s also oblivious to the fact he’s just a judgy racist bitch that’s as thick as a rick and as deep as a half empty birdbath.
A couple of suggestions for how Rump can spend his time: take a long walk off a short pier, go pound sand in a rat hole. In the meantime, just shut the hell up! We are sick of the sound of your whining and griping, your bullying and bribe-taking, your grifting and corruption, in fact, we are sick of everything about you! Undo everything Rump touched/tainted!
Trumps library should be very inexpensive.
Just the one room with the two shelves.
One for the books, both of them, colored and uncolored.
And one for the crayons.
They could make it out of an old phone box – painted gold, of course.
